Hey there. Some of you may remember me. I started WISH in January 2005, hoping to lose some weight before my Disney trip in May 2005. Over the course of 3 months I went from 171 to 147. I was very proud of myself and determined to keep on going. By the time my trip came around in May, I had been home from college for 3 weeks and my diet had become nonexistent. I stepped on the scale 2 days before departing for Florida and I was back up to 158. Discouraged but determined to feel my best, I went on the trip and came back having lost 7 lbs. I was ecstatic and only 4 lbs from my end of the school year weight. I could have easily gone back on track and continued to lose, maybe even gotten down to around 130 by the end of August. However, I was not so successful. I went back to my old way of eating and I am now back up to 160 lbs. While I know that I can easily shed this excess weight, I still need the support. All the while I was on the WISH boards I kept a journal. The diet and exercise helped a lot but I truly believe what kept me going was this journal. All the support and encouragement I received from other WISHers was tremendous and kept me going. I hated to tell them I had cheated or gained a few pounds over the weekend. They kept me honest and successful in my weight loss. Now I am headed back to college in 5 days and I am determined to finish my weight loss this semester. My short term goal is 140 lbs. I hope to achieve this by the end of September/middle of October. My long term goal is 120 lbs, which I hope to achieve by middle of December(end of 1st semester)/end of January. I am wishing that the members here are still just as friendly and helpful. I will be checking in daily with my weight, exercise, and anything else. I love hearing your stories as they motivate me to improve my body, mind, and soul. Thank you so much and good luck!!!

WELCOME BACK!! I, too, lost a good bit of weight and gained a lot of it back, so I know how you feel. You get so close... You will get all of the support that you need here! Good luck!! :flower:

Okay so it is my first official weigh in day since starting this journal. And I am currently at 162 lbs. Not my strongest start but I will get that number down. I am getting ready now to go do my FIRM workout and find something low-carb to eat for breakfast. I might even have one of those shakes left over. Other than that, I am a busy girl as I have been packing for college. I am headed back to Etown here this weekend and I still have so much to do. Just have to buy a few more things today and pack them up. Then I will start the much dreaded part where I go through my clothes and see what fits and what I want to take. Then I have to go shopping for some jeans and tops. Yikes! :confused3 And also later this afternoon I am going tanning and a shower and more packing! Good luck with all of your weight loss and I will check in later with an updated report of food and exercise!

So little time :hourglass So much to do :moped:

Update
I just started theFIRM on Monday and I cannot fully complete one video just yet but I am working on it. I did about 3 quarters of the Total Muscle Shaping Video. I also drank half an Atkins Vanilla Ready-to-Drink Shake. :bounce:

Update#2
Just had a Lean Cuisine Low-Carb Chicken with marsala sauce and greenbeans for lunch

Welcome back and good luck, Rachie. I am so glad to hear your confidence about your ability to lose. I hope you will stay motivated when you get back to school. I know how tough that is. I also know that it only gets harder to lose as you get older, so now is your time, kiddo! Get to where you want to be and stay there.

I am glad you know how much support you can find here. I look forward to hearing all about your plan and your success!

Have fun shopping, but don't buy anything too expensive -- all too soon you will be too small for those clothes :teeth:

Welcome to WISH! You're doing fantastic. Make sure to drink your water. And where is E-town? Forgive me-my brain is FRIED.

And now a cheer:

:cheer2: Rachie's doin' it!!
:cheer2: She's losing those pounds
:cheer2: Getting lower and lower
:cheer2: Victory=pound down!

Yikes! Just saw a picture of myself at an even at the beginning of August and Wow. I DO NOT LIKE IT! That is motivation enough to set me forward on the path to thinness. Starting Monday I am totally on plan. It's really tough right now because I am getting ready to go back to college and so much is going on! However, today I am still at 160 so that is good. I have had a bowl of Special K with Strawberries this morning, and a Krispy Kreme doughnut (YIKES!), and I am off to go to fish dinner with my family for my send-off. Then up early tomorrow morning to pack and leave. Etown here I come!

Hope you all are doing well on your journeys to wellnes, fitness, and thinness!

Hugs to All,
Rachel
