Have decided to write this journal as i really need to focus on my weight
which has crept up steadily for the last year. IHave started excercising and joined slimming world online as dont have time to attend meetings. This is my first week, tomorrow is my 1st weigh in:scared1:

A little bit about me I'm 34 ,Mum to three boys who are 14,12 and 10 I work at a pre-school with children age 2 - 4 four days a week and I am currently studying for my NVQ Level three in child care and education

I have really increased my exercise this week 30 mins aerobics every day plus 30 mins brisk walking with Pete(wonderful DH) and aqua aerobics with friends
My legs seem to permanantly ache.

Breakfast YOgurt/Fruit

Lunch Salad Sandwich on wholemeal bread

Dinner stri fried chicken and noodles with fresh veg

snack low fat yogurt and pinapple

Rachel -

Best of luck to you as you complete your goals. I know how you feel with the constantly aching legs - it doesn't take long to get over if you are consistent with your training. Are you stretching at all? Seems to help me - that and a good hot soak every once in awhile.
I look forward to hearing of your progress!

Welcome! It sounds like you are starting great. Hang in there, and you will be amazed at how quickly you start to feel better. Just make sure to now overdo it. You definitely don't want to an injury to deal with! Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

THanks for the encouragement:thumbsup2

Weekend is going ok, not such a great day yesterday had to eat out and food at english soccer grounds is terrible, managed a twenty minute walk before the game though.
Today i am back on track
chicken salad for lunch
toast for breakfast.
I have a cold so the thought of excercise is difficult but i am going on a short walk with DH later so that should hopefully keep things ticking over.I hope to feel better tomorrow then can pick up the aerobics again.

WTG on the weight loss! That is great. I don't think 5 lbs is to much for your first weigh in. You usually lose a lot of water weight during the first few weeks of a new program. As long as you aren't starving all the time, or working out to exhaustion, you should be fine. :cool1:
Make sure to take it easy, and listen to your body, until you get over the cold. It is very important to get extra rest, and not workout as hard when you are sick. I hope you feel better soon!
Keep up the good work!

Really pleased with this as is DH and I wedding Anniversary (8 years) today

Dh suffered with terrible depression after the sudden death of his father and has been on anti depressents for a long time. He put on weight but he is slowly coming of the medication and starting to shed the weight

TOday has been quite tough as had to take boys into town for new shoes, this is always a stressful excercise as they want the most expensive pair in the shop and we have to haggle until we reach a compromise you know how it goes"but Mum none on my friends would ever wear those"etc etc

They went to the cinema and Mcdonalds and I am so pleased I resisted temptation, I decided to meet them afterwards so Sue and I went to Wagamama,s and had a wonderful stir fry :woohoo:

Came home and did 45 mins aerobic workout and have made chicken salad
for dinner.Cant belive tomorrow is weigh in day already, this weeek seems to have gone by so quickly.Thankyou to everbody who has given me support this week these boards have been brilliant:grouphug:
