Thanks everyone! We picked up DF's ring this evening, I have to tell you I squealed a bit when he tried it on. It was quite exciting to see him wearing a wedding ring We sending in the CC authorization form to Kathleen so we can pay everything off next week...not much longer!

Update time!

We paid off the wedding yesterday! So now all we have to do is show up! We'll still have a few more expenses (Rev. Jack, hair/makeup, dress steaming, spending money, tips) but besides that we're good.

We do have a bit of a snaffu though, my matron of honor's husband is one of DF's groomsmen. He broke his ankle playing volleyball a couple of days ago and will be a walking cast and crutches for the next 4 weeks. Good thing is he's a pretty active guy and should make a full recovery and should be alright for the wedding. If not FMIL suggested we get him and eye patch and a hook and he can be a pirate *argggggg*

What else? Ummm...I think that's it for now. We're still trying to hash out the day-of schedule which will probably get done in a couple of weeks when we go up to his parents. It's much easier when we can talk face to face than over the phone.

We leave in a month! Wooooo hooooo!

Since I'm stuck at home from work with a bad back I thought I'd do another update.

First off, FMIL has the swine flu but she should make a full recovery. Right now we're just waiting to see if (or more likely when) FFIL will catch it. Hopefully they can both be better before they leave for Florida.

Our injured groomsman is doing alright as well. I talked to my matron of honor last night and she said he should be out of the cast before they leave to come down. I told her I wouldn't mind if he wore it, it is black She also sent me pics of her in her dress which are stuck on my phone, but here's the pic of the David's Bridal website:

We're going to spring some of our surprises in the next couple of weeks to our parents and his brother. I was inspired by Andrea's ToT invite and made some stuff in Photoshop:

I'm going to see my hairdresser next week for a color touch-up, but I'm going to see if he can do another hair trial for me. I loved the texture from the curls from my first one, but I think I want something a bit closer to the head like these:

I hope your FIL's have a speedy recovery. my boss' entire family had it last week so we were scrambling to cover shifts. this whole swine flu is getting crazy!!!

I LOVE those hair styles, the second two are my favorite and i think they'd look lovely on you.

I think its great you're giving your parents and DF' bro a gift, how cool!?

I also saved that BM dress is my file... its super cute and i am definatly going to have my sisters try it on.

Hey Rachel! Love the gifts, such a great idea I bet everyone will love them! I have swine right now, its not fun but I was told if your relativly healthy and rest up you can make a speedy recovery... at least thats what I'm hoping lol!

Time for another update!

My dad and brother booked their flights today, which means everyone's transportation is taken care of! I tried to book them online but AirTran's website wasn't liking my bank so I had to call but they're all set now.

We also told our surprises to everyone last night. We didn't use my Photoshop creations but instead made short videos for each person. Everyone is very excited about their presents, DF's dad being the most excited. I wish we had video of his reaction it was sooooo funny, he was pretty much like this

My back is feeling better, thanks for the well wishes. I've suffered from back and joint pain for years but it seems to get worse as I get older (but what doesn't? ) Hopefully I'll get out of my retail job soon and get to a less physically demanding job

That's it for now. Chauncey's in Portland for work till next week so I'm gonna have to keep myself entertained when I'm not at work. He said I can't pack yet but I might sneak some in while he's not here

Time for another update!

First off, FMIL is swine flu free and luckily neither FFIL nor FBIL caught it! The gimpy groomsman is still healing but should be good to go.

I went and saw my hairdresser on Tuesday. I got my hair colored and cut and here's the results (sorry about my crazy face):

I've gotten so many compliments on it, which I find kinda funny cause it's actually my natural hair color (I've been coloring it the bright blonde for over 10 years!) Guess it goes to show that not just blondes have more fun

I'm gonna send some pics to Beauty Speciale so they have some idea of what they're up against (my hair is SUPER thick) and what I want as far as style.

I went to the mall today and got my nails done, and after I was browsing some stores and came across the perfect bridal purse:

And it was only $12!

That's it for now, I seem to have misplaced my tag materials for the bubbles, so hopefully I can locate them and do those this weekend. Chauncey comes home from his conference tomorrow and I'm really excited! He's been gone for over a week (which is the longest we've ever been apart) and I'll be so glad to have him home.

19 days to the wedding, 16 days till we leave, only 10 actual days of work left....PARTY!

I love the hair color. Sometimes it is best to go back to "natural" but the dye makes it super shiny. And the bridal purse was a steal. It's so bright and colorful! It's only 18 days! That's crazy!

Time for another update!

FMIL is done with my bouquet and she sent me a picture yesterday:

I think it's beautiful (sorry the picture is sideways)! I just gave her the supplies and a general idea of what I wanted and gave her full reign and I think she did a fantastic job.

I tried on my dress with my undergarments and everything looks great. I'm still trying to work out these last few days cause I know we're going to eat like crazy once we get there. And, I was getting worried about how I was going to transport my dress on the plane, but it turns out DF's aunt and uncle have decided to drive so they've offered to transport it for me!

I talked to Kathleen last week and double checked everything and I think we're good to go as far as schedule for the wedding day. I'm gonna call Beauty Speciale either today or tomorrow and pre-pay for hair and make-up and I'll do the Carolyn Allen payment too.

We're almost done packing too. We only have one full size suitcase and even with careful folding and a couple of space bags my stuff still takes up 3/4 of the case and Chauncey hasn't packed yet

My last day of work is Thursday and I've still got lots to do before we leave.

Holy crap we leave this Saturday!

Time for another (and close to one of my last) update!

I finally finished the bubbles:

We got our Magical Express papers today in the mail and Chauncey's started the pack. Tomorrow is my last day of work and then Friday is our day to get all of our last minute stuff done.

-Go to the bank
-Take dress/suit and other misc. items to his aunt and uncle's house
-Gather all important papers and documents
-Separate vendor payments into envelopes and label accordingly
-Get nails done (fill-in and pedicure for me, a manicure for DF)
-Get eyebrows done
-Pick up picture of my grandpa from my dad
-Finish packing!

I can't believe it's here, I'm still in shock and probably will be until we touch down at MCO.
