Okay, I guess I'll go ahead and start my trip report and I'll just interject photos when I have them.

Let's start with who's involved in this thing:

That's me there on the left and my now DH Chauncey

My mom, Karla on the far right and her boyfriend Drew on the far left

My brother, Joe and my dad, Richard

Jen, DH's cousin and my matron of honor and her hubby, Matt

DH's brother, Taylor (and his new girlfriend LOL!)

DH's parents, Terry and JoEllen (aka Tweeter or Tweets)

That's DH's aunts, Noreen in the black/white jacket and Sue (Tweeter's sister)

And Bob (aka UB), Noreen's husband and Tweeter's brother

My uncle, Chuck in the polo shirt and my friend Tracy

That's the main crew, but there'll be some appearances by some other folks as well, but we'll get to them later.....Let's get this show on the road!

TR Day 1 Part 1, 12/5

So Chauncey and I were up fairly early, although neither of us got much sleep cause we were so excited. We had to go to my mom's house and she was going to house my car in her garage and then she'd drive us to the airport. Well when we got to her house we were super early (I have issues with being on time, to me being on time is late and being late is just bad ) so we were just sitting around. About 10 minutes after being there I realized that we had forgotten my extra carry-on bag that we were going to lend to my mom. So we drove pack to our apartment (which is less than 5 minutes away from her house) and grabbed the bag and a couple other things and by the time we got back mom was ready to go.

So we got to the airport and put on all the ME tags and checked our luggage. We stopped just before security to say bye to my mom as she had to go back home and collect Drew before their flight later that day. Security was empty so getting through was fast and easy (which was good cause it makes me really nervous). Within minutes we were at our gate and got a seat till it was time to board. We made a few phone calls to those folks who were driving to check on them and before we knew it we were boarding.

that's not a start!! There are no pictures....and you're not even at Disney yet! You can't just type 2 paragraphs and leave us hanging!! We need more!!

And we are patiently waiting for your bridal shoot pictures too.

I know, but I felt a bit weary about taking pictures at the airport, security and all that. As for the bridal portrait pics, you may be waiting patiently but I'm not...she said 2-3 weeks before they'd be online and 5-6 weeks before we get the DVD...that seems like an eternity!

Tomorrow is 3 weeks and i've already emailed this morning to find out she's not in the office today.... I've been stalking the website trying to figure out what my login would be and see if some are posted yet....so far i got nothin'!

Thanks! I'm waiting anxiously for my Epcot shoot photos, as soon as they're up and/or I have the DVD I'll let EVERYONE know!

Woo hoo! Go Colts! The jewelry I got off a seller via Amazon, although I can't find their name as I don't seem to have saved the email with the receipt. I just searched for Disney/Mickey jewelry and I found those.

Sorry I haven't updated everyone but with the holidays things have gotten really crazy (some of which involves New Years Eve and staying up for 24 hours but that's a story for another time!) However, in all the madness I managed to get my application for graduate school in so if all goes well I'll be starting toward getting my masters this fall! And, I got ALL of MIL's pictures from Florida so now I should be able to get on with my trip report....well once Chauncey finishes sorting them and putting them on my computer So hopefully I can get this thing going again in a few days!

December 5th: Day 1 Part 2

So after boarding our plane we had a short yet uneventful flight to Memphis where we had a quick layover. We had just enough time to go to the bathroom (where the toilet in the ladies flushed on me no less than 3 times before I was actually done!) before rushing to our next plane while drooling over the smell of Memphis BBQ and shedding a tear cause we didn't have time to stop and eat.

We boarded our plane and had yet another uneventful flight, this time landing in Orlando! We made it! After gathering our stuff we got off and quickly made our way to the monorail to take us to the other terminal, but not before stopping to Twitter and text that we were there:

Luckily our ME packet arrived the day before we left and it contained our ME boarding passes so after a short wait we were on the bus and headed toward Pop Century!

This was Chauncey's first time staying on property and my 2nd, with my previous stay at Pop as well so when we got there I knew right where to go. We got checked in and tried to pre-check my dad and brother who were arriving that Monday but since it was still to early we had to settle for being there when they arrived. We then moved over to the conceirge desk to have the park tickets removed from our key. We had done the "free dining" but being AP holders we didn't need the two 1 day base tickets. The lady behind the desk wasn't sure how to do it (but I knew it could cause I had read about it!) but we got it worked out in the end. While I was working on the ticket issue Chauncey was wandering and looking at all the stuff that's hanging on the wall in the lobby. He was especially happy to find these as he's big into 3D stuff:

We found our room in the 70's building #6. It was funny cause we stayed almost right around the corner from where I stayed when I was there the last time, at least I knew I wouldn't get lost!

We knew our luggage would be a while so we put away what things we had carried with us and after getting familiar with our new home we were off to find food!

The Pop food court was pretty busy, but being on the dining plan really helped as we could go to the cashier and swipe our room key and be done! No fumbling with change or signing receipts. I would have managed to take our first food porn pic of the day but we were soooooo hungry, it disappeared before I had the chance (something I tried to avoid the rest of the trip as you'll see). However I know that I had the personal pepperoni pizza and Chauncey had the shrimp lo mein. After inhaling our food we were off to our first park of the trip!

I loved seeing the Christmas trees in the airport in Orlando (we were there Dec. 10-14). That's so cool that Chauncey's first time staying on property was for your wedding Pop Century is definitely a fun resort to check out. So, out of curiosity how did the removal of the tickets work for the free dining? We went one year when we had AP and they still made us pay for the 1 day, I'm assuming this must have recently changed, what a great bonus!

No we still had to pay for the one day, what they did was "refund" the cost of the tickets and "resell" them to us so we could have them as a separate card from our room key. I'll explain why a little later in the report.

Nope, no pics yet. I've tried signing in multiple times pretty much every day. I tried both with "wedding" and "bridal portrait", I've even tried with our names misspelled just in case! I sent our planner an email today but she won't be back into the office till tomorrow so I hope to know more then.

Dec 5th Day 1 Pt. 3

So after stuffing our faces we were ready for some fun! We hopped the bus to EPCOT and scurried to guest relations and turned in our vouchers to get our APs. Within minutes we were both proud AP holders! We got through security and then through the turnstiles and headed straight for Spaceship Earth.

After SE we did Nemo and then enjoyed watching the fish in the tank. There was a group dive going on with 10 people and we were having fun watching the divers interact with the kids on our side of the glass.

By this time is was getting close to Illuminations so we made our way over to World Showcase to meet up with some friends who had already been there for a few days. Even though MouseFest had been canceled there we plenty of meets going around and we knew some people who are members of RADP (Rec Arts Disney Parks) and they were meeting in Norway to watch the show. We eventually found the group and we played catch up with everyone till Illuminations began.



We had originally planned on hopping over to the MK since it was open till 1am, but at this point we were exhausted and cold (the entire week the weather seemed to change its mind as often as J-Lo changes husbands ) So we caught the bus back to Pop where we grabbed a snack and then went to our room. Our luggage had been brought by then so we unpacked and then hit the hay to rest up for our first full day at WDW!

Just a quick update on our pictures from DPS. I emailed our planner yesterday to find out where we were as far as receiving our pics. She emailed me back today and said that we should get the DVD in about 2 weeks, but since we bought the DVD our pics won't be posted online. So I'll just have to wait "patiently" till the DVD arrives before I can share them
