:jumping1: GO! WISH Team GO! :jumping1:

The first Disney race since I've been on the WISH boards. I'm looking forward to your updates, everyone, best of luck to you all. :thumbsup2

Good luck, everyone!

I just realized Howard (keenho) isn't on the list for the Wine & Dine 1/2. I think he hasn't been around here much. :)

Ahh, so excited I can't even stand it. And the weather looks PERFECT! Good luck to everyone!

My full race report can be found on my blog, but here is the Reader's Digest version:

It was a chilly Chicago day today. Temps were low 50s but the windchill made it feel like the low 40s. But hey, at least there wasn't any rain this time! :) I was only operating on 4.5 hours of sleep (yeah, not a good thing) and have a cold, so I was not expecting anything spectaculor performance-wise. I just wanted to have a fun run, finish the race, and earn the right to wear the cool tech shirt in our goodie bag.

The entertainment was pretty good (hadn't expected that). The race went pretty uneventfully, except for the water station from hell, where they had no cups ready so I had to STOP and WAIT for my water. If I hadn't needed it (or had brought my own), I would not have wasterd so much time. Oh well. Other than that, the race was good (and I love watching the Chicago Skyline when you run along Lake Michigan).

I finished with a PR time of 33:08 -- 42 seconds faster than my previous 5K. Gotta love that! I had to park far from the race start, so after fueling up and cheering for the other runners, I decided to jog to the parking lot. Why not?!

I think I will enjoy the next 15 days of just training runs and no races... :rotfl:

Rick Congrats! Sometimes the best results come when you least expect it.
