When I finished the run (5km) there were still walkers crossing the start line. So many people participate that they fill more than 5km - quite amazing.

I have participated in The Race for the Cure for about 13 years and this year DH and I were on the committe helping put the race together. It is an awesome experience. We had over 16,000 participants in Charlotte Saturday morning!

Glad your race went well. have you thought about doing the 60 mile, 3 day walk for the cure? Our team raised over $30,000 for breast cancer this summer. It was really an incredible experience.
