Yep you can. We always use RAC and always have a rental car.

Yes, RAC is similar to using curbside check-in at the airpor, except for the limited hours of operation. I also use it even when we have a rental car to eliminate the luggage handling when dropping off the car at MCO. That way we just have a rolling carry-on bag and my camera case.

This is our strategy in addition to which we use DME on the flight down and get a rental for a grocery stop. It's a huge relief to only have to deal with my laptop and the groceries on arrival, we'll go straight to WS as we usually land before our room is ready then our bags are in the room when we get back.
