We are flying Southwest and opted for early bird check-in. Does this affect the RAC luggage desk and airline check-in at the WL on our departure day?

Thanks,

last year at Pop, our Boarding passes and luggage tags were hanging on our door the morning of check-out. Slapped the tags on our bags and dropped them off at the RAC desk. Easy, breezy, lemon-squeezy!!

Like Pooch said...if you're already checked in with SWA, either by Early Bird or by doing it yourself (or someone at home doing it for you) then your boarding passes will be delivered to your room with your RAC/DME info. Really nice, because that means you can completely bypass the SWA counter at MCO and go directly to security.

Updated: I learned from the subsequent posts that having your SWA boarding passes delivered to your room doesn't always happen, but you can always get them printed at the RAC desk. Good to know!

You will be checked in by SWA and can use the RAC desk to check your bags and get your passes (except at CBR and OKW, for the time being, as SWA is not participating in RAC at those resorts yet). If you used DME on the way in and have a reservation to use is going back to MCO you may get your boarding passes and luggage tags (for the same number of bags you had transported on the way in) on your door. If you do, you still need to actually get your bags to the RAC desk. They may or may not replace the luggage tags provided.

However, they don't always do the passes-on-the-door thing so don't panic if you don't get anything. I'm not sure if it varies by resort, if they only do it for people with a.m. flights or what; there have been a few theories advanced on that.

Just wanted to post that we stayed at CR in June, used RAC with EBCI (and DME back to the airport) and did NOT receive our boarding passes/luggage tags on our door. We got the standard notice of when DME was coming and had to bring our bags down to the RAC desk to be tagged as normal. We were able to have our boarding passes printed, complete with our EBCI group assignment, at that time.
