On another board I read I heard that people have been unable to use the RAC if they had EBCI with Southwest. They were told at their resort that if you were already checked in with your airline that they couldn't utilize the RAC service because the system couldn't process it. Of course this was two months ago and now I can't find the thread. I'm trying to figure out if this is what you get for using EBCI or if this was a glitch in the system they have since worked out.

Has anyone experienced this? I know a lot of people fly SWA to the resort. We have a evening flight out and want to hit a park in the morning. We have decided if we have to pick RAC or EBCI we will choose the EBCI to have a better chance of sitting together on the way home.

We aren't using MEARS at all. We have a town car reservation since our arrival in Orlando is after 10pm and we have to handle our own luggage anyway. We can handle it on the way back too, but the RAC sounds like such a nice service!

Thanks everyone! Jen

We have purchased EBCI and used RAC on a few trips at BWV with no issues...last time was in October 2012

I've used RAC at least 5 times since EBCI began (including April of this year) and have never had a problem. I'm sure glitches happen periodically, but all of my experiences have been positive.

Never, ever had a problem using EBCI and the RAC. We use it all the time (the last time was in October 2012) - at least 3 trips a year.

Ditto to everything said above. I have done this multiple times and always ask RAC if they mind printing out my boarding pass with no issues whatsoever.

I absolutely love the RAC service. It makes returning home so much more pleasant. :thumbsup2

Can't imagine why it would be a problem. All the RAC does for SWA is check the bags and print boarding passes. All EBCI does is assign boarding positions 36 hours prior to departure. RAC has nothing to do with that.

We use SWA with EBCI all the time and always take advantage of the RAC when we do. I never even mention EBCI to the RAC - they take our bags, give me the claim checks and print our boarding passes. Never had a problem and we also did so last in October, 2012

Thanks for the answers! I didn't think it was a widespread problem or I would have heard more about it here, but wanted to make sure since someone mentioned a problem.
