RAC and DME timing question?

My flight home is at 8:30am which means DME will likely be at 5:30am with them wanting me to be standing ready at 5:15am.

RAC opens at 5am and you must check your bags with at least 3 hours before your flight time.

If I'm down there with my luggage a few minutes before RAC opens do you think I'll have enough time or should I plan on taking my checked luggage onto DME and checking it at the airport?

I've never taken this early of a flight home so I'm just not sure.

I would be there at 4:45. You should have time, but if it becomes apparent that you won't, just take your bags with you to the bus

Sometimes the RAC folks will check you in early if they’re there. I wouldn’t count on it, but you may luck out.

Your pickup time could be as early as 5:15 which means you'd need to be in place at 5:00.

Personally, I'd play it by ear. First, find out what time the pickup is.
If it's 5:30, I'd be at the RAC desk about 4:50. If I don't have my bags checked by 5:10, leave the line and take them on DME.
If it's before 5:30, it would depend on where the DME pickup is compared to the RAC desk. It would also depend if I have others in my travelling party (that can either hold the DME bus, or at least tell me it's pulling up and to scrap RAC).
If it's after 5:30, be at RAC by 4:55.
