Rabbits as pets

Wow, Patsgirl, what an awful experience!!! We havent had any problems with having one. But you can bet, I wont be bringing another one in since reading about your experience!!!!!

DD wanted a rabbit for years and we got her one when she was 13. She kept the rabbit in her room and we made her keep the door to the room closed at all times because of the smell. "You want the rabbit, YOU get the smell." I was surprised the rabbit lived for 10 years even moving to Florida with DD. DD's rabbit wasn't especially social, but she sure was cute. She was all black and her name was Velvet.:)

My DD (12) has one, a loinhead... very cute and very friendly. He is almost like a cat and she has training him to to tricks.

He is litterbox trained and she only cleans it every other day (if that... which if I smell it she is in trouble) He really is cute and with a great personality....I am glad I finally gave in. She adores him! Not much trouble as far as caged pets go....
