dh wants to try to go there and i didnt see much on there site and according to there hours they close at 8m every night

They have fireworks during the peak periods of the year. They only do parades during their special events, like Macy's, Mardi Gras and HHN (when it's in Universal.)

Macy's parade is in December. The only fireworks that are scheduled right now for December are for New Years Eve.

Yeah, it's kinda a bummer they only have fireworks from July 4th to the middle of August, and on special nights. The fireworks show is really good at either park, I wish they'd do it more.
And yes, also wish they'd have later hours.

I'm sure Disney people get used to the nightly events, and the late close times.

Here's an idea I tell everyone.
Stay at an onsite property, but rent the car. Yes, you'll play the $7 a night of parking, and gas. But, you can drive to Disney at night since they stay open later. That way, you get to try USF/IOA, and get a Disney fix.

This year, we stayed July 6-8 just to see the fireworks with the late hours. It's a fun time to go, even if there are more crowds.
