My husband and I are taking a much needed break at Disney for 4 nights. We want to mostly kick back and relax.
We'll hit up the parks of course but we certainly aren't doing marathon days.

What are some nice relaxing activities you have done there?

Walking around AKL and watching the animals. We spent a lot of time doing that. We stayed there so we did a lot of animal watching from the balcony of our room but there are plenty of viewing area around the resort. Very relaxing.

I tried to get a room at Animal Kingdom Savannah view but no luck. We are waitlisted for it though so maybe.....
We were able to get a 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk though which is our favorite resort. Pretty good I thought since I called for reservations on Friday!

I love to lay by the pool and read a book when we are chillin' at the World. :)
Especially at the Wilderness Lodge Villas quiet cove pool.
I also liked renting the small water sprites at the marina there. Walking the trail to Ft Wilderness at a slow pace is fun too.

Go visit other resorts. Nice to go and walk around especially at the wilderness lodge where there is a paved path that links the lodge with the campground.

one of my favorite memories at Disney is the time DH and I went on a 3 day Disney cruise and flew in a couple days before. We did not have park tickets (trying to keep the budget low) so we visited all the deluxe resorts one day. At the end of the day we went out to the beach at the Grand Floridian and grabbed a hammock; we actually fell asleep for a while there! It was such a nice trip; so relaxing :cloud9:

We havejuast both in the lobbys of the Grand Floridian and Dolphin listening to the piano players and admiring the christmas decorations.
Dh and ds played bingo at stormalong bay
Rented a pontoon boat at Polynesian and cruised around Bay Lake for about an hour.

This time of year, our favorite activity is just to go to the different resorts and take in the holiday decorations.

Jellyrolls.:cool1: Stumble back to your room (right there on the Boardwalk) and order room service in the am.:thumbsup2

One year DD20 and I (Easter week ) knew that we would not be spending much time in the parks. We don't like crazy crowds. So we would spend about 3 hours in the park in the morning and then we did "other" stuff.

That consisted of much mini-golf (we are awful at it but had so much fun - pretty sad when the small children play better than us!), lots of spa visits, we took leisurely trips on the boats (not to get from point A to B, but to relax and LOOK at our surroundings!) and other forms of transportation, we visited and had meals at other resorts - looking around and "shopping" afterwards, went to the movies in DTD. We would sometimes go back to a park in the evening - but not to go in attractions - we just soaked up the atmosphere and people-watched and window shopped.

We had a wonderful time!

Christmas decorations at the resorts. Just so pretty. Make sure to visit the Dolphin. I love their tree. :)

We do most trips very leisurely these days. I love times/days at WDW like that.

If the weather is nice, we like to parasail over at the Contemporary. Riding in the boat and watching each other parasail is very relaxing.

No matter what time of year we go, massages are on the list. Since you are staying at Boardwalk, you could go to the Mandara spa.

We always do cocktail hour on our balcony.

:wave2: Phors

We went to the Grand Floridian SPA and I had a mani&pedi and DH went for a sports massage. HEAVENLY! :goodvibes

Have a great time with your hubby at WDW!!!

We did a relaxing trip years ago and one of the most enjoyable things we did was rent a little boat. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and they rent them right there by the docks. We went to old key west resort and then rode all the way down to downtown disney. We had so much fun!

We also did mini golf. I think it was the summerland/winterland mini golf place.
