:sad1:

I just heard that Estell Getty passed away today.

She was 3 days shy of her 85th Birhtday.

How very sad.

My daughter loves Golden Girls and has every single episode on DVD. My MIL used to watch it when DD was a little girl and it became a comfort to her as a young adult....
Estelle reminded me of many a relation...

So sad :sad1: I'm reading the Golden Girls Scripts book at the moment too.

I won't lie, there are very few actors that play characters I relate to enough to be upset when they die.

I loved her in Mannequin, Mask, and of course Golden Girls. The quick wit and no-nonsense attitude she added to every character she played made her a huge asset to any role.

:sad1: :sad1: WOW, that is really sad. I know watching the Golden Girls will be extra special now, may she rest in peace.

I've read she was actually the youngest of the four women who starred on "Golden Girls". The show is a guilty pleasure for me. I channel surf and end up watching it whenever it's on.
Estelle suffered from dementia throughout the last few years. Horrible disease. May she rest in peace! Thanks for the laughs, Estelle.

Does anyone else think Rob and
Bea Arthur kinda look alike?

I mean if Rob had some of those cool pant suits....
hey wedding outfit Idea!

RIP Estelle :guilty:

:sad1: OMG I had not heard this! My DP will be upset. We love the Golden Girls. Truly sad.

This is very sad. Does anyone else remember in the early days of the MGM Backlot Tour, it included a stop by the house used as the exterior shot of the Golden Girls' house? That was the best part of the early days of MGM (/Hollywood Studios) for me (long before Star Tours, Rock & Roller Coaster & ToT). Oh yes, gotta love those early gay clues.
