R&C Chicken Pasty Question

Has anyone had this? I am not a particularly adventurous eater...but I would like to try something a little new..
What is it like? Does it have mushrooms in it? I cannot stand mushrooms.
Any other suggestions for this restaurant?

I had that and I loved it. Its like a chicken pot pie. The crust was very flaky and tender. There was a good amount of chicken in the filling, not just a couple of pieces and then a bunch of vegetables like you get sometimes. I cant remember if there were mushrooms in it though.

I don't remember there being mushrooms in it, but I would ask your server to be sure. The Guiness Beef Stew is my personal favorite and there is nothing weird about it.

I've only had one item at R&C that I could consider especially "adventurous" -- the curry, and that's actually quite excellent. Be sure to not only save room for dessert, but order dessert early, if you're having dinner, as sometimes the best stuff sells-out!

The Chicken Pastry is outstanding. I've had it several times, and agree it's very similar to chicken pot pie. It has a wonderful creamy sauce and includes peas and carrots. I don't remember any mushrooms in it.

The Cottage Pie is very good as well. It includes delicious mashed potatoes baked around ground beef and topped with cheddar cheese.

Save room for dessert! The Sticky Toffee Pudding and Irish Creme Brulee are both yummy.
