Looks like a bundle w/ a few extra accessories for $299. But, the best part is that it's on easy pay, broken down to 6 payments.

Am I missing something or does this NOT seem like a great deal. The Wii is now priced at $199, I don't think the accesories that come in this package are worth $100 :confused3
Maybe I missed some games included?

ETA I see that it also comes with the 101 games in one. I guess its a good deal only if you will use all those accessories and the case. You will still need to get an extra remote and an extra nunchuck, which is another $60.

The Wii is never discounted, it's always $299. It just never comes w/ extras unless you find a good bundle.

The Wii was never $299, it was $249 but now MSRP has dropped to $199 :)

:confused3 Not sure if this is a good deal. I know Costco has the Wii for $195.00 and it comes with Sports. You'd have to buy the stand and all the other extras. I do know that they have a Nerf package for sports (tennis racket, bat, wheel) for about $30.00 with an instant rebate given at the register. I have to be honest, I am not sure what you need to get started with the Wii unit but I was told you really need 2 nunchucks and 2 remotes. The Costco unit only comes with one of each. Anyone out there a Wii wizard who can guide us? :dance3:

You definitely need 2 of each to start off with so you can play 2 player games. It would be ideal to have 4 since alot of games allow 4 players. We have had our Wii a few years and the only other accessories I have are a couple of wheels(which do not get used) a Wii stand/cooler (which has never been used) and rechargable batteries/stand for the remotes (which is always used). I would rather invest in the games since the Mario ones and new releases are pricey.
I wouldn't get the QVC bundle, it seems like a waste to get a bunch of stuff that isn't needed and wouldn't get used (in my house anyway) :)

Thanks for some good feedback, especially since your family uses this unit! My daughter has been asking for the Wii and I was soooooo :confused3 as to what I really needed to invest in without spending unnecesarily!

the only accessories we use are:
4 remotes
4 nunchucks (sp?)
2 double charger stands
1 balance board

that's it. The 2 games I got them for christmas come w/ the items needed, motion sensor thing and dance mats.

I would think that the cooler stand would be good though if you play a lot. Ours get very hot to the touch and I've been thinking about getting one of those.

This is what is in the box:

# Nintendo Wii gaming console
# Component cable for connection to HDTV
# Nunchuk
# Remote
# Racing wheel
# Game blaster
# Wii baseball bat
# Wii tennis racket
# Wii golf club
# AC adapter
# Wrist strap
# Wireless infrared sensor
# Messenger bag
# 2 AA batteries for remote

That is NOT worth $299, sorry.

Base Wii with sports game and one controller is $199. So for the other $100 they want you to spend you get:

# Racing wheel
# Game blaster
# Wii baseball bat
# Wii tennis racket
# Wii golf club

# Wireless infrared sensor
# Messenger bag
# 2 AA batteries for remote

The items in bold are useless junk. In fact, one of the HSN guys actually broke their TV on air using one of those attachments because it flew off when he swung the Wiimote and crashed into the TV, cracking the screen badly. Here's the video on Youtube. Jump to the 5 minute mark and watch. Yeah...

Besides, you can buy those sports accessories kits from any store for $20 at most.

The wireless sensor is not necessary, necessarily, as the regular system comes with the wired version (and no batteries to replace).

Carrying bag? Not expensive and not necessary unless you plan to carry it around from house to house a lot. (We've never moved ours except when we moved houses, but then we don't have kids, either.)

Two AA batteries that will probably last for an hour (el cheapos, I'm sure).

The 101-in1 Party Megamix game can be had from Amazon for $19.99, but is brand new (set to release to general public on Oct 27th so there are no reviews). Based on experience with other Wii party games it could either be fun or truly horrible. The Wii Sports game is included in all Wii's.

Sorry, this is not a bargain. It is closer to a ripoff. At best you break even and are stuck with useless items that will likely very quickly find their way into a box forever or the garbage (if they don't destroy your TV first).

ETA: You'll still need to buy at least one more controller and nunchuck if you want more than one person to play.

Ohh sorry, I'm not sure why I thought it was $299 normally for just the console!!! Def. not a good deal then!!!

The stuff in bold is at my Big Lots for less than $20. This is a rip off!

I just bought a wii last night from Amazon.
I saw it on QVC they had a bundle for $327 + $13 shipping
When I added everything up buying separately on Amazon
it was 28 bucks less than QVC plus free shipping.

In the end I actually spent $31 more than QVC but I
got everything QVC offered plus another Wii Remote & Nunchuck
Controller, remote recharge kit with 2 rechargeable batteries,
and a couple different skins for remote. Also the my sports accessory kit
was better than the one QVC offered in bundle and blaster gun I'm
getting is way better than the generic one from QVC.
Added note I bought the wii travel bag and Wii Remote & Nunchuck
Controller off of Ebay. They are really cheap there and all brand new.

Final say, QVC's deal is not a deal at all.

I can get my hands on the bold items for less than $3 a set. It is molded plastic! I goto salvage/dealer auctions all the time, they cant even get rid of the junk accessories for $1 sometimes. Also, unless you plan on playing the 101 game, it cheaper probably to go a different route.

Costco for the console

Amazon for the acc kit 19.99 itself
Costco
or here for 34.99 with the golf game.

Both have free shipping. Total 195+20+20= 235. You just don't get a case (Travel much?) or fan (Lets your kids play it ALL day?).

Walmart has the game for less then $20 as well.

So its only $60 over priced......

Sorry, Just relised it was over 30 days since OP... Going to leave it in case anyone is looking for it cheap.
