"Quotes"

Does anyone else find it annoying when a series of posters take each other's posts and "Quote" them in their posts? Is this necessary? I takes up a heck of a lot of room for one thing and if I just read it myself a post or two above yours, duh, do I need to read it again. Can't you just reference the topic or statement without giving us the whole thing? Sometimes the same post is repeated by several hot under the collar people. Geessssh.

I've been registered here a week ago, and I'm ready to move on. There is a lot of negatism around here. That might be part of the reason why I've been up since 3:45 (Not feeling that well either). I care about a lot of people here, and I think most people do a pretty good job with quotes except for me of course.

Not really.

I do find it annoying when the entire post is quoted and the replying party only seeks to respond to a tiny part of it. I'd also prefer it is the quotes didn't come out as bold - it looks very cluttered and messy, in my opinion

Take a look at these forums - the method of quoting is so much cleaner

Guess that kinda thing isn't easily changed though

As I ahve said before, the threads I post on generally move quickly. If you post without quoting you could sometimes end up with a completely different meaning.

And of course.."misquoting" browneyes is always a hoot!

No, I don't think it's annoying at all. When there are many people posting in a thread quoting makes it clear who you are replying to.
