Ok heres what happened ,i booked a few character meals for DD asked age and said 10 years old, there was 2 i had to call back because i could only book 10 days, wife rang for these and when asked the age of DD my wife said she was 9, i told the wife when i came home that they meant her age when she would be there, and not her age now , and wife said they didnt say that. So i have bookings wife different ages for DD, do i phone now[ heard people have had problems making alterations to ADRs] or wait till i arrive at hotel ,and when i am getting print out of ADRs explain what happened and pay the extra

Personally I'd say nothing and just let the server know when you are seated for your meal. After all a 9 year old will require exactly the same amount of seating area as a 10 year old, it's just the cost of the meal that changes which can be done by the server at the time you are eating :)

Don't worry

When you are seated they will probably confirm your party ie. 2 adults & 1 child or whatever you booked.

If you want to change your DD to an adult meal do it then.

I'm not sure I'd bother!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, we booked DD for a few children's meals last year. Between booking and travelling Disney changed their age limits so she actually needed an adult meal. We just told the server that she'd be having an adult meal when we arrived at each restaurant and there were no problems. As Alan said a 9 year old takes up the same amount of seating as an adult.

Ah, that explains it! :rotfl2: I was sure my DD had qualified for a child's price back in 2004 when she was 11, then I looked on the All Ears site and saw children's prices were only for ages 3-9 so thought I was getting confused between WDW and DLRP and edited my previous post.

It's nice to know I'm not going senile after all! :lmao: :lmao:

thanks for the replies ,guess i wait till i go to the restaurants.
does this work the same for character meals

One of our meals was a character breakfast and we had no trouble. They won't mind after all you'll be paying more (and tipping more) for an adult.
