Feels like the Church named the price...more media attention.....now they know the media can be bought and they will be plastered in every living room in America hoping they can find one young person, one adult who could even think like them.

On the other hand, maybe the media decided to be bought this time to help the little girl and will piece and edit to show what terribly dangerous people they are...and never need to do it again.

at least this way, the rest of us can just have a 'boycott (whichever radio show they are on) day" and not listen to them..... it's a lot easier for the rest of us to just turn off the radio/change the channel, than it would be for those at the funeral to try and ignore them standing around with their signs/etc.....

I don't disagree...they belong nowhere near a funeral, this little girl or anyone else's.

Sad thing is the "minister's" daughter is a lawyer, so they can have all the free legal advice they want. I bet they fight this.

I don't think their argument, whatever it could be, would work. I just hope that her parents don't really know too much about their protest, although it's doubtful.

Their leader has already publicly thanked god's "marvelous work in Tucson". Words can't describe my feelings towards these people and what I would wish upon them.

So they are a terrorist group and they held the funeral "hostage." I like the radio personality's quote. He's a grown man and can listen to them for a half-hour in order to spare this poor girl's family. Sounds like a good guy to me.

My guess is WB is hoping they can 'preach' their poison and win some converts. Filling up airtime, hitting the mute button, one big long commercial...whatever it takes.

Does anyone know if there are stipulations? Like what questions can be asked or what not?

You know the radio thing is a bit fishy imo. If Westboro really wanted air time why wouldn't they stay the course? I mean why trade in some serious air time on NATIONAL tv for 30 mins on a local radio station? If they had showed up as plan, ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN would have all given them so air time, so I'm not totally buying the radio excuse for their reason for cancelling.

I think they punk'd out (which wouldn't surprise me because most hate groups are made up of cowards). They knew people were very willing this time to go toe-to-toe with them on this one. I think folks are seriously no longer afraid of the threat of a lawsuit, no longer afraid to challenge them in courts. Even if the entire family is made up of lawyers, suing some one up the chain of courts is costly and time consuming. People are ready to take them on.
