OK, just got off the phone with Member Services and they said a studio at either BWV or BCV will not be available for November 7 through November 11. They had the audacity to say I would have to waitlist! Can you imagine that, a waitlist! Now, if one of you nice DVC'ers would be willing to cancel your ressies for this time period I would be forever in your debt. Of course, I forgot to ask exactly how long the waitlist was so lots of you can feel free to cancel.

2 months out is pretty short notice to try to get a studio at ANY DVC resort. Studios and GVs are usually the first to go! I would not give up on the waitlist though. Did you ask to be put on for day by day? If not, that is a good suggestion.

Yeah I know this is short notice, I was kinda being facetious. This is my first experience with the waitlist so i will see how it goes. i have back-up cash ressies at the Swan so all is not lost.

We just had someone report on here that the waitlist came through for them for early December, and that is a far busier time, so you have a chance.

I switched my Beach Club request to waitlisting for each day...it almost worked out. Right now I have a studio at BWV the first night then BCV for the next three...

I left myself on the waitlist for BCV for that first night since I'd rather not move if I don't have to. But worse case I'm just across the water.

Day by Day is much better than hoping the whole span becomes available at once...and I switched from Nov 2 thru Nov 6th to Oct 26 thru Oct 30 with less than 60 days notice. Solution is not quite perfect but I have every confidence that last BCV night will come through in the end.

I called every day for over a month and finally got the resort I wanted 2 days before we left. Keep trying!!!!!

When I called two-three months ago looking for a studio anywhere for the 10th to the 13th there were none. But a day later I got one at OKW (when I decided to join the waitlist...lol) and then an hour after that I got a 1br and cancelled the studio!

Its been booked up for that time period for a while....but good luck!

You picked one very busy week. Everything is sold out, but you never know.

Good luck!!!:)

That's a holiday weekend during the Food & Wine Festival! I will be at BCV that weekend in a studio, and I know of 4 other BCV studios reserved by friends that same weekend for our Adults Only F&W Weekend. We all booked BWV at 11 months(ish), and then switched to BCV at 7 months. I know from past experience that it is a very busy time there, but I have had luck with the waitlist at BWV in previous years as I am not usually a good advance planner. Good luck and if you get in you will recognize us by our boisterous laughter and the perpetual wine glasses in our hands!

I know this is a tough one. It was a last minute suprise I am springing on the wife. I have cash ressies at the Swan so all is not lost. I should still be able to hear the clinking glasses on our walk past either the BWV or BCV. We stayed for 9 nites at the BCV back in August and absolutely loved it so was hoping nobody else noticed that it was the Food and Wine festival. this will be our first experience with this event at Epcot. I assume it's a pretty good time?

Whoops....I was thinking December, not November....but anyway.........there's always a chance the waitlist will come through!

The Food and Wine festival is nice....probably nicer if you attend some of the special tastings etc....There are usually lines for the kiosks around world showcase, but its great to try out some unusual stuff!

Good luck to you once again!

You could probably lay most of the blame on us NJ residents. Every year around this time, the NJ Education Assoc. holds its annual convention. All public schools in the state are closed on a Thursday and Friday. And since there are a lot of NJ DVC'ers out there, there is more demand than normal.

Ever see that commercial the day after the Super Bowl? The MVP of the game is asked, Where are you going?" Ask most families in NJ where they're going Nov. 7 - 11 this year or any year around that time, and they're all saying "We're going to Disney World!" At least everyone except my family are going. My DW is a teacher in NJ, and she plays by the rules and goes to the convention in Atlantic City!

I can vouch for the NJ theory. Our first big family trip was in the second week of November in '97. We didn't know what was going on, but we all noticed that we seemed to be surrounded by people with NJish accents. And there seemed to be an awful lot of kids named Vincent and Carmine running around. :) We finally asked someone, and they said exactly what Goofy Fan said.
