This thread is the Pop Century thread. There can be groups that stay at Pop but not as frequently as stay at the All Stsr resorts. That’s a side effect of Disney’s All Star resorts… this is a popular area for cheerleaders and sports events. This is the cheapest resort for those groups. Thus, we have a very young clientele in All Star resorts that can cause a lot of ruckus. You definitely want to avoid this resort in the springtime, as it is peak timing for many championships.
Between 7AM and 11PM yes. They are located in the food court area and can be used when the food court is open. There are toasters available for use too.Does this resort have access to a microwave? I know they aren't in the rooms but is there access on the resort to heat food up?
The Shadow Boxes being "walled off" like that is somewhat concerning.View attachment 990635You can see where the check in desks are covered on the right and half of the shadow boxes are covered on the left.
Is it true that if you book a standard room at Pop, your rooms can only be in the 80's or 90's sections? I called to ask for two room requests, connecting rooms for my family's two reservations and the 50's section. The cast member said he would add a note about the first, but that the 50's, 60's, and 70's sections are only preferred rooms because of proximity to the skyliner. Does anyone know if this is a new policy?
Just like bluezy said, they gave you the wrong information. I do not know how many times when I called that I knew more than the CM on the phone. Sorry, a little unclear of your question. Are you asking where to meet your Uber at Pop or another resort? At Pop I believe you meet at the front near luggage services and the overhang covering the drop off/pick up area.On our last day we have a late flight out. We are going to a park but will end the day at a resort having dinner (probably not Pop though). Not sure which one it will be but can we order an uber to bring us back to the airport? I’m not sure where we would meet them at?
Hi. Really just making sure that any Disney resort we are at that Uber could come in to get us. I’m assuming most resorts you meet somewhere in front.Sorry, a little unclear of your question. Yes, all resorts have a location for Uber pick-up. You will then go back to Pop for luggage before heading to the airport? Likely that's faster than trying to use Disney transport to get you back to Pop to meet your Uber there.Hi. Really just making sure that any Disney resort we are at that Uber could come in to get us. Thx for responding![]()
We are flying Southwest so we don’t have to worry about coming back for luggage. That’s why we thought we would try a different resort for dinner before our flight. Haven’t been to WDW since the Magical Express days. Thx again for your response.Yes, all resorts have a location for Uber pick-up. That will work. We used to do that back in the days of luggage service for more airlines. We'd deliver our checked bags to Resort Airline Checkin at Pop (or wherever), enjoy our day, and get an Uber to the airport from wherever we were when it was time to go to the airport. I'm a Delta flyer and I'm hopeful that RAC starts up again for everyone. Let us know how it goes for you.We are flying Southwest so we don’t have to worry about coming back for luggage. Thanks for this! We don't pay for baggage as we booked before the changes but it's a very good tip for those who have booked/made changes to their SW flights after May 28th.Something is gonna give one way or another on that front. Recent report from a frustrated Southwest flyer at Disney highlighted the minor issue that Southwest only accepts payment for bags at the airport. This service requires bags be paid before they take them as they do not accept payments... you can do the math from there.
This would be us. We always have more carry-on than we would take to the park as we travel with electronics and a CPAP that I would not want to carry around WDW for the day.I will also say that sometimes it makes sense to stow carry on bags at Pop for the day and then get them before heading to the airport. Sometimes you need more than what you're willing to carry in a park backpack -- for example, if inclement weather might leave you delayed at MCO or at a connecting airport or if you don't want to walk around the hot parks with medications you may need later. Just something to consider. You can add stops to Uber or Lyft to do that, just factor in the additional time.
We use Walmart.Next thing I need to figure out is how to order groceries to be delivered to Pop. Sometimes having an International credit card limits who I can order with. Have any International guests had groceries delivered to Pop and if so, what company did you use?
Thank you! Walmart is who I've started looking at. Great to have confirmation that I can use them. Appreciate your help!We use Walmart.
