I currently have a studio at the Boardwalk villas reserved. However the Boardwalk just opened some rooms. My goal is to have a fairly quiet room with a balcony I can sit out and read. I’m afraid the Villa will have too much noise at night. Would I do better changing to just a garden view or standard view at the regular Boardwalk Inn side?

Perhaps. But keep in mind, you will also be losing your kitchenette if you move to the Inn side.

What category are you booked in at BWV? I actually have found the villa side to be quieter than the resort side at BW as long as the room isn't overlooking the actual Boardwalk.

Did you book on points or cash through Disney Reservation Center? If you booked through DVC, you'd probably prefer the standard views (parking lot) or the leisure pool (pool/garden booking category). If you booked through DRC, no matter what you booked you'll probably get pool/garden, so request the leisure pool, higher floor for a quieter room.

If you booked cash, you wont' get a Boardwalk view. That is only for points stays.

I think all the rooms that we have had were quiet. We have had rooms over looking the main pool on the BWV side and rooms at BWI over looking the lawn area where they play movies at night.

We have not had a BW view room, so I can not comment on how that would affect the noise level.

Thank you to everyone. I am booked into BWV studio. Losing the kitchenette doesn’t bother me. I’m just looking for someplace with a low noise volume, relaxing so I can sit out on my balcony.

If you booked through Disney reservations, you will likely get pool/garden view. I would request quiet pool. If you booked with DVC points, your reservation should say standard, pool/garden or boardwalk view.

Regarding the Inn, the only time I stayed there we got a room above the walkway to the bus stop (standard view). It was very loud with people walking by and talking. Luckily it was only one night until we moved over to the Villas.

Garden view 5306 was so quiet and close to the Bellevue elevator. Fireworks and view of Epcot ball.
