Our first day at Disney will be at Epcot. We have PS for PSBB @ 8:40 am and are planning on staying until closing (Staying of site @ Sheraton vistana). I do not want to leave the park but Im afraid this will be to long of a day for DD 5.
Anyone know of a quiet place to relax mid day? Maybe a picnic area or something? Thanks
Leaving on the 26th!!

As you go across the bridge into the World Showcase look to the right. There is an area that has alot of grass and roses. It is the rose garden if I am not mistaken. There is a path that does not seen to get much traffic, you might be able to find a place back in there. Hope this helps.

Have a magical trip.

There's the little area behind the perfume/cosmetic store in France that's pretty quiet. Also way back in Morocco there are some benches and not a lot of activity (unless some dopes decide to bang on the drums). The little "museum" in Japan is very quiet. The park in the UK is also, unless the fake Beatles are playing.

any of the world showcase countries have benches and courtyards, some tucked away and more quiet than others... others right along the lagoon under shade trees.

France has a nice secluded area, so does England (although sometimes there are shows)... near the lagoon by France & Italy there are areas away from the pavilions that have seating areas...

more so for the hot summer months, the American Adventure show is inside, dark, & air-conditioned... zzzzzz!!!

Another alternative is to leave the park through the international gateway (between England and France) and walk to the Boardwalk (restaurant & hotels about 5-10 min. away...) this area along the lake is a nice diversion.

And another idea is to take one of the Friendship boats near the International Gateway that takes you to MGM studios... You don't have to get off there, but a nice leisurely boat ride to MGM and back to Epcot could put anyone to sleep for a little bit... or just give a nice scenic tour of the Boardwalk/Yacht&Beach Club area...

We have relaxed in The Living Seas Pavillion during a hot July afternoon. The whole family enjoyed watching the fish. It was very peaceful.

There is a nice English garden area tucked behind the shops in the England section. It's usually pretty quiet except when British Invasion is playing. There is a maze your DD might enjoy exploring. The bushes are low enough that you can watch her & she can't get lost.

Near France, there is another nice area that is usually quiet. I like that spot a lot, too.

I can't believe no one has mentioned one of my favorite rest and recharge places, Spaceship Earth! I love this ride and when I'm "up" I take in all the animatronics, sights, and smells, but when I'm "down" it's very dark, slow, and relaxing. And I can't think of a voice that would put me to sleep quicker than Jeremy Irons'. :teeth:

Wonderful idea, which I highly recommend, since I've done this several times myself!
