I had to bring my dd back to MoV (Moreno Valley) from her visit home during labor day weekend..she needed to be back by today(friday) so we decided to take a quick trip to DL wed. and thurs. so I thought I'd write up a quickie TR for anyone whos interested..so here goes...
Day 1 Sept. 3
we left merced around 4am to beat heat and traffic especially over the grapevine
we stopped in bakersfield for a quick fillup of gas for the car and our stomachs then hit the road again and managed to not have too much traffic until the 57 s fwy.. then again it was only around the different fwy interchanges like the 60 and 91...once we got to orange it was a piece of cake...got to hojo(entertainment rate for $59x2 nights) I was lucky to get that seeing as how I just got an 
and went with it a few days before)got checked in but room wasnt ready so we headed to the park...now my dd doesnt really like to go DL mainly because she says I burned her out on it
me? well I never........and alot of the times when she does grace me with her presence she is a pill and im being nice about that...when i suggested going i really didnt think she'd want to but she said sure so I was jumping for joy
at the prospects of spending some time there with her...when we got to the park it was already really warm...it got over 100º that day easy..it wasnt dead in the park per se, but there were no crowds, minimal waits in line for rides with the exception of a few things.. so we went on pirates, big thunder which by the way was one of the very few rides that had alot of people at any given time riding it, they had just closed down HM for the overlay but what I wasnt expecting was French Market was closed and so was the entire area of NOS train station...they had all of it blocked off...if you know where the bathroom is by the station you could only get to it one way...then we made our way over to tomorrowland to ride space but when we got there I found out that it had been down the entire morning...so we waited near the exit until it started back up...interesting thing happened while we were waiting...pluto and minnie were back there waiting on kids to come for pics and autographs but being there wasnt alot of people they were out there alone...so minnies handler was talking to her and then she got up and went over to pluto who grabbed her around the waist and pulled her down on his lap and then proceeded to fall down with her on top of him but S L O W E L Y...i was like 
somebody needs a time out
anyway once we got off space we went back to NOS for our PS at CO.....tiffany(dd) had the monte cristo and I had the crab sandwich...ok now I have eaten the MC for years and I have to tell you they have SERIOUSLY made the portion size smaller...unless you are really a tiny eater, I wouldnt even consider trying to split this plate between 2 people unless they are 2 children or one so so eater and one little child...and as far as the crab sandwich goes uh I didnt like it
I have never had it before so I was trying to get something not so hot and I didnt want a salad because we were outside...they weremt seating anyone inside
...i have no idea why but I was unaware the crab was the consistency of tuna salad...which I would have rather eaten...i ended up scraping the crab stuff off and just eating the bread, tom., lettuce, and avacado...the bread was really good...after we ate our room was ready so we headed back to hojo because my dd was dying in the heat...we got to our room and she took a shower and fell to sleep...I went to CA and rode TOT twice, soarin, but by then it was almost time to close...went over to DL and went through all the shops and I got to see the halloween things they had out...looks like some new stuff is out as far as collectibles...pretty much all the shops had them but its in small amounts...and as someone said earlier in the week, a couple of shop windows have them done up in halloween decor...CA has their Mickeys TOT party banner up by the turnstiles to view on the way out to the esplanade...after I went through the shops and went back into NOS and decided to ride the Mark Twain..it had cooled off and the sun was going down so it was very nice and relaxing...actually i rode it twice back to back
I was falling to sleep actually so I called my friend Andrea because I was trying to keep myself awake...I decided to go back to the hotel and wake Tiff up to go get some dinner so we could sleep early and get up early for rope drop...went to Mimi's and it was good as always...I had french onion soup and the turkey dinner and tiff had corn chowder and a burger and fries...we both devoured the soups but when we got our food we only took a few bites but they bagged us up really good and gave us utensils and cup of ketchup with a lid my dd cannot eat without ketchup...came back to hojo and passed out early......

..pic isnt great but I tried
had no problem getting her the so cal pass at all
so even if she doesnt go again it still saved me $10 because 2 day park hopper tickets come out to like $144
