Well… we had a flight for some of the exec’s down to MCO this afternoon until tomorrow, and boss asked if I would like to fly it, so said “Yes!” Of course… needed me some Diz snacs! Anyway, arrived MCO about 7:35 PM, then had to deal with an airplane mechanical issue
(only a Wi-Fi connectivity issue, but when you take away the big cheese’s jet Wi-Fi, oh boy….). Anyway, that delayed my departing for hotel and hence the Springs. My main goal was Joffrey’s donuts to bring home, so raced to hotel, a flurry of activity to change and grab what I needed to go and off I went. Got to spot in Orange garage about 9:40. Got to Joffrey’s at 9:49, 11 minutes to close to get the last 3 donuts in the case… phew! After that, a more leisurely walk to Earl of Sandwich, got a quick bite and then to World of Disney to look (unsuccessfully) for the sold out 50th anniversary coffee mug. Back to hotel now. Total of less than 90 minutes on property. Depart back to Connecticut early afternoon tomorrow. Will post few pics I took (to send to the missus), so nothing fancy, but just fun to us…
The actual first place we shared ice cream on out first date which was at Downtown Disney in Dec. 2000.

I love the grilled cheese here (although I unwittingly ordered the kid size - same cheese, but on smaller roll rather than the toasted bread… still tasted great! And a black and white cookie, love ‘em!

While I couldn’t find a mug, there where plenty of 50th anniversary….
soap dispensers?

What? Chicken butt! Why? Chicken GUY!

There were still purple signs (I thought they had changed to blue… takes time I guess….)

Packing the Joffrey’s donuts and some black and whites to go home

We’ll be back Easter week (driving down for son college visits (Jacksonville University, Embry-Riddle in Daytona (my alma mater) and F.I.T. in Melbourne (he wants to be pilot like me… but wants to be JetBlue pilot
). Will be staying DVC at Saratoga Springs Tues-Sat, so will have one park day and one day with parents at end of week, but plenty of evening time for Springs and other non-park but Disney stuff (‘specially more snaccs
)
That’s the scoop for this drive by Disney-ing (was I really even there?)
