I trying to find out the best way to get from DTD to Epcot using Disney transportation. Would it be better to go to a resort (which one would be quicker?) and get on an Epcot bus or can you get a bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center from DTD and then get on the monorail to Epcot? Which would be faster in your opinion? This will be about 8:00pm on a Saturday. Thanks!

You cannot take a bus from DTD to any park or to TTC, so you will have to go to a resort. It is going to depend on exactly where you're trying to go in Epcot. If you're trying to get somewhere in World Showcase, then take a bus to the Beach Club resort and walk to the International Gateway. If you are trying to get to Future World near the front gates of the park, you can go from DTD to Saratoga Springs and take a bus from SSR to Epcot. If you're not trying to get anywhere in particular and just want to go to the park, I'd go the Beach Club route.

Thanks! We want to get to Soarin.

If you're heading to Soarin', it's going to be 6 of one, half dozen of another. If you go to SSR, you can take the bus to Epcot, and arrive at the front entrance. It may be a bit shorter of a walk, but you have to figure in the time to get to SSR and then wait for the bus.
If you go to YC/BC, it will be about the same wait, at DTD. The walk, to the International Gateway will take you about 8 mins or less. Then, from the turnstiles there, to Soarin' is about 10 mins, depending on how you walk.
If it were me, I would go the YC/BC route.

that's what we do when at DTD and want to go to EP - take a bus from DTD to the BC - of course, by the time the bus arrives at BC, my DH is usually snoring.... (the bus stops at Swan, Dolphin, BW, YC and finally BC) - since we would want to be in WS, we'd walk from BC to Int'l Gateway then

How long do you think we should allow? We're trying to make it there for one last ride before they close! Thanks!

Allow an hour...just to be on the safe side. It may very well take less than that.

I'm revisiting this question now that my vacation is getting closer! If we decide to go from DTD to SSR, then take the bus to Epcot. How do we get from DTD to SSR? I know you can walk there, but I'm not sure where it is in relation to everything at DTD. Thanks!

(We want to get to Epcot before they close one night to ride Soarin after we've been at DTD. It's one of my family's favorite rides and thought maybe we could sneak in an extra ride on it! We have park hoppers so it won't be any problem with tickets.)

Thanks again for all your help!

You may want to pull up the maps for DTD and SSR on this website. I think that'll help. Essentially, you leave at the far end of the marketplace, out the sidewalk between Design-a-Tee and the Art of Disney...instead of walking toward the bus stop (on your right), break left. You will see the path to SSR.

Walk the path until you are in SSR. You will enter in the Congress Park area. It has a bus stop. (The map will show you). Generally, if you make a right through the Congress Park when you see the pool, and head through to the parking lot, you will see the bus stop. (Can be trickier in the dark.)

While I enjoy this walk from DTD to SSR-- I'd probably opt to take a bus to BC and walk from there to Soarin.

Have a great trip!
