Quick weekend getaway?

My bf's 22nd bday is coming up and I was interested in planning a quick weekend getaway in September. I was just wondering where would you stay?

I have Vacation Club points at my disposal but a weekend at any of the DVC resorts would start at 40 points. Is it worth the points?

With the new code that came out I was thinking AKL or WL. With the great rates and the short amount of time I am not sure where to stay. We will most likely be back January or June for at least a week and we just spent a week in CSR back in June.

Where would you go for a quick weekend getaway?

How would you plan a weekend trip? What parks would you go to?

Thanks for any advice

I'd splurge and get into one of the monorail resorts. That way, you have transportation over to MK and EPCOT at your doorstep. Reserve a special dinner at one of the countries (Italy, Canada, Morocco) and then do desserts and a drink at UK to end the night and watch Illuminations from one of the pub's lagoon-side tables.

If you arrived on Friday evening, I'd do and early dinner at the GF or the Poly (Ohanas) and head over to MK for WISHES. Saturday do MK and take the monorail over to EPCOT for a dinner PS (see above). Sunday back to EPCOT to finish off after packing up.
You don't say if you'd fly or drive, so that may play into the time issue making it all the more important to stay close to Park transportation.
Save MGM and AK for your next trip. Don't try to do too much.
Have Fun!:wave2:
