Hi all. We managed to see the new Blue Horizons show at SeaWorld last weekend, in preview mode. This is the show that replaces the old Key West Dolphin Fest and is, quite simply, unmissable. It is part theatre, part animal show and part acrobatics (high diving, etc), and is totally mesmerising. In fact, you will probably need to see it twice as there is so much going on it is hard to take it all in. Superb original music, some lovely touches with the dolphins and false killer whales (including some really novel stunts), and some vivid staging all add up to a highly original show which is an absolute highlight of all the park's entertainment. It was showing only 3 times a day last weekend, so be sure to take this in early on.

For dining, we ate at Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room for the first time recently and this is definitely one of those special places to visit, away from the hustle and bustle of DD, with great service and truly superb food. The Macaroni Grill near Crossroads is fast becoming a real favourite, too, while, for the best fish and chips in town, the new George & Dragon on I-Drive is very hard to beat. This recent entry to the UK-style pub scene is located right next to Wet n Wild, but is set back a bit in its own plaza and is hard to see if you go by too fast! However, after opening last summer (just in time for the first hurricane to rip the roof off!), they have firmly established themselves hereabouts and show all the usual British sport, etc, as well as having karaoke, pool tables, darts and live music outside several times a week. A good range of British beers, but don't miss the fish and chips!

PS: We re-visited the much-maligned Jungle Jim's earlier this week; service was decent (although it was late afternoon and quite quiet), burgers were good and decent value for money.

Thanks for the update Simon especially for the info on the Blue Horizons show. :)

Thanks for the update.

Just when we thought we had our plans sorted, now Seaworld has to go back on the list. Thought about leaving it till next year, but a new show that sounds that good just can't be missed. :goodvibes
