Quick Tutorial on MagicBands?

I've spent some time searching info on the MagicBands but I'm still pretty confused. I know I've come to the right place for help

1. A friend sold me her DVC points and booked me at AKL. She is setting up Magical Express for me as well. I did set up a MDE account and it shows my four days and my ADRs. Will we get magicbands if we "rented" from an owner? Are they free?

2. When will said MBs arrive? I don't think my friend has my mailing address...will they go to her instead?

3. Are they all grey in color?

4. What does "customize" mean?

5. Am I correct that I can pick my fastpasses at 60 days out if I've purchased tickets? I'm going to get our tickets from AAA prior to that.

6. I see some of the MBs on Ebay and Disneystore.com, I assume these will work just as well?

Yes and yes.

2. When will said MBs arrive? I don't think my friend has my mailing address...will they go to her instead?

Usually about a month before.

3. Are they all grey in color?

You should be able to select the color on your MDE account.

4. What does "customize" mean?

You can write what name or phrase you want on the back.

5. Am I correct that I can pick my fastpasses at 60 days out if I've purchased tickets? I'm going to get our tickets from AAA prior to that.

Yes. You will need tickets on your MDE account before you can make FP reservations.

6. I see some of the MBs on Ebay and Disneystore.com, I assume these will work just as well?

As long as they're not already linked to someone else's account, I don't see why not.
