Hey Everyone - let me just start out by saying that I'm new to posting on the boards, but as for reading and following, I've been here for awhile :)

Anyway, last year was our, my two sisters and I, first trip to DisneyWorld in 11 years! The deal was when I got a real job we would take a girls only trip, and that's exactly what we did. (And we're going back again this year!).

But back to the current trip - Let's start with the cast of characters:
Me - Newly 24 year old, Disney fanatic - let's face it, all the trips are my idea
DSis - 20 years old, best friend, newest, most enthusiastic disney fan (she was the one i was worried about not enjoying last year's trip and as soon as we got home she wanted to go back)
DSis2 - 17 years old, senior in high school, couldn't make the quick October trip, but we were still thinking of her

Now for the logistics of it all...
About a month and a half ago we were talking about what we were going to do for my bday (and DSis too - her's is about 2 weeks earlier) and the free day started to sound good. First let me say, we are from NY, so its still a trip and NOT free to go haha -but we sucked it up and booked the trip anyway (Funny enough we went for MNSSHP and didn't even take advantage of the free day promo).

So we booked a flight out of NY at 9:00 am, a room at POP (which was GREAT!), took a dip in the pool in the afternoon (who would have thought that it would be 95 degrees in Florida!) and then headed over to the Magic Kingdom!

What's next...catching a couple of rides, meeting some great characters, trick or treating, face painting and finding an friend from home! Stay tuned...

Let me say one thing - Disney on your birthday is seriously so great - All the cast members take the opportunity to tell you happy birthday and its just a lot of fun.

So after we landed at the airport and made our way to the magical express counter, this is where we experienced our first issue. I dont know if its because we booked so late, or because we booked just a room only, but we never received our bus vouchers. Not a problem except that we now had to wait on line with a million other people to get a print out. (Ok the million might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but there were a lot of people. The good news on this - a lot of them were families that were all together). Anyway we got our vouchers and got on the bus and a quick 30 minutes later we were at POP Century.

We check in at POP around 1:30 and our room isn't ready yet, but it's no problem, but we are STARVING! I have my bday pin and my sister has her 'I'm celebrating my bday' button and we're off to the food court. After 2 lunches of chicken nuggets and $25 I get a text message that the room is ready! We're in the 70's building on the first floor - the room is good (it's only for sleeping anyway) and I grab a quick nap - I had a busy weekend before leaving and need to catch up on some zzz's. Anyway now is when my DSis goest to the pool.

The nap doesn't take to long - I mean who can sleep when they get to DIsney, so I decide to take a walk around, snap some pics and meet my sister in the pool. After a quick swim we decide its time to get ready to get to the Magic Kingdom by 4 (thanks to the disboards for that info!). BTW, we are ghostbusters for the party :).

At 3:30 we get to the bus stop and there aren't many people there yet. What's funnier is that we're the only ones in costume. But soon enough we are on the way!
