We are AP holders, and did a quick 1-day trip this past Sunday. We arrived at M&F at around 8:30 (the park opened at 8:00), and then headed to the DL gates. The entry lines were quite short -- we only had to wait for one other family ahead of us.

The crowds were much smaller than I had expected. The two previous Sundays that we visited (January 5th and March 23rd) were MUCH more crowded than this visit, so I was pleasantly surprised. For example, we went to SM after entering the park, and the wait was only 20 minutes. A little bit later in the morning, we had a 5-minute wait for HM...it was almost a "walk on". The crowds definitely picked up in the afternoon, but it was still nothing like our past two trips.

There were a lot of closures -- IASW, PotC, Indy, Nemo, Alice, and Gadget's, and also Mickey & the Magical Map. We didn't realize that the show was dark, and were disappointed as we were planning to see it for the first time this trip. When we went to ride BTMRR, the stand-by line was 45 minutes. We decided not to wait, and it's a good thing...as the ride went down about 20 minutes later. It eventually re-opened, but I have to say that if I had paid almost $100 for a 1-day ticket, I think I'd be frustrated with the closures.

Speaking of closures, RSR was down all morning. It was an early entry day at DCA, so the park opened at 7:00. RSR didn't open until a little after 10:00. The FP "line" didn't really exist because the CM's told everyone that nothing would be handed out until after the ride opened for the day. We were in DL, and checked MouseWait every few minutes to see if RSR was open. Once we saw that it was open, our FP runner went over to get the passes. He got there at around 10:40, and the return time 6:10. The line was very short because people didn't know that the ride had opened and/or figured that the FPs were gone for the day since it was already 2.5 hours after park opening. This just goes to show you that you need to be flexible in your planning, especially when it comes to RSR. It doesn't always go as planned! On our March trip, both TSMM and Soarin' were closed during EMH...again, not something we planned on, but not much you can do.

This was our first time trying Mickey Beignets, and I wonder where they have been all of my life! Seriously...you gotta get some!

Overall, I think it was a good trip for a Sunday!

Nice report---Thanks for posting!

Glad you were able to hit it on a Sunday which was less busy than usual---love when that happens!:)

Make sure to try the Pumpkin Beignets in the Fall, if you can---slobbering!
