DS27 (special needs) and I did a one-night trip to the parks Wed/Thurs and had a great time with a couple pieces of unexpected luck.

We happened to be walking through CA Adventure on arrival and noticed someone standing out side with the candy cane sign. I asked if it was for return times, and she said it was the standby. Unfortunately, DS was hungry so we went to Starbucks to eat, but when we came back out I noticed she was still there. She warned us when we got in line there might not be enough, but as it wasn't long we took our chances. I got the last one! They are good, but I have to say I'm not sure what the fuss is about. I thought they were soft but they are VERY hard (teeth cracking hard). Probably a one and done for us but still fun.

Yesterday morning, I was looking for a place to grab breakfast in Downtown Disney and noticed that there was a Trader Sam's mobile order link for the release of the holiday tiki mug which happened to be that day. I'd seen them but hadn't realized they'd be released when we were there. A few clicks later and we were able to pick up our mugs on the lawn of the Disneyland Hotel at 10 am. Super easy for what I've heard used to be crazy sauce.

Back to breakfast, I wanted to put a plug out there for Tienditas. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/downtown-disney-district/tiendita/ It's the quick service associated with Centricos, but for some reason they don't have the breakfast menu listed on the website! They have egg burritos and quesadillas that are yummy (especially for Disneyland). I got the steak burrito with eggs, cheese, black beans, steak and salsa. I also asked for guac and salsa on the side. Relatively "cheap" for Disneyland and super easy from the Grand or DH, which have such limited breakfast options. My son went to pick them up when they opened at 8 and he was the only person in line so I hope enough people discover it to keep them in business for breakfast.

Yesterday was also Walt's birthday so fun timing :)
