Quick ticket upgrade question

If I have a one day base MYW ticket and want to upgrade it at the gate, is the price to upgrade strictly the difference between what the gate sells a 10 day MYW for (what I want) and the gate price of the one day?

Yes, if you bought the one-day this year. The cost to upgrade is the same regardless of where you bought the original MYW ticket or how much you paid.

Provided it is an actual Magic Your Way one-day as opposed to a promotional one-day that you might have gotten as a timeshare prize or a raincheck you might have gotten after a hurricane.

If you bought the ticket last year there is an unknown, whether you have to pay a 2005 to 2006 upgrade fee differential too, which for a one-day basic is four dollars more. Still the cost to upgrade 2005 MYW tickets is the same regardless of where you bought them or how much you paid.
