If you haven't been there for awhile, you may not be aware that they no longer have the Park-Hopper tickets that you might be referring to. Nor do they any longer have the length of stay passes that DVC members at one time did get a discount on.
Ticket media at WDW has all been switched over to the "magic your way" tickets. These tickets give a great deal of flexibility. There are no DVC discounts on MYW tickets. The only DVC discount is for Annual Passes and Premium Annual Passes.
You may have been referring to a regular 4-day MYW ticket with the Park-Hopper option added on. That ticket would be similar to the old Park-Hopper tickets they use to have.
You can see all the MYW ticket options here on the DIS site. Go to:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm
For example, a regular 4-Day Adult ticket would be $207.68. To add the Park-Hopping option is an additional $42.60, and to make it non-expiring is another $21.30.
If you're going to use all 4-days on your trip, then you don't need the non-expiring option, so your ticket price becomes $62.57/day. (207.68+42.60)/4
If you're going to be coming back to WDW again, you might consider something like an 8-day ticket. Base price is $219.36, plus $42.60 to add park-hopping, plus $117.15 to make it non-expiring. Use 4-days on this trip, and use the remaining 4-days on another trip sometime. In this case, the ticket price comes out to be $47.39/day. (219.36+42.6+117.15)/8
With the new MYW tickets, you can make all kinds of 'combinations' and find the one best suited for your Disney travel patterns.
