I didn't take any food pics but wanted to share a few thoughts from our recent trip.
Trail's End To Go - Fried Chicken meal
WOW, this was seriously a great bargain. We paid to upgrade to all white meat and the one bucket meal with an extra side fed our family of 6 no problem. If we go without the DDP again it is totally worth a boat ride over from MK to have a nice, cheap dinner.
Tusker House Breakfast - This is one of our favorites and we loved it as much as usual. We ate later than normal (10:30) and seating was much quicker than usual, not sure if that is the way it normally it is or if it was a fluke.
Sleepy Hollow - We had the Nutella waffle sandwhich and chicken sandwhich. I was really looking forward to the spicy chicken but it was not very good to me. The chicken piece was small, the arugula kind of overpowered everything else. The Nutella one though was awesome.
SciFi - Second time there, great service again and we all enjoyed our food. DH was befuddled when ordering so the waitress mentioned the mac and cheese burger that is not on the menu but is available. I cannot remember all the toppings but it had fried something - onions? jalapenos? and a sweet chili sauce. He loved it.
TRex - I am a Landry member and it was my birthday month so we had $25 taken off the order, I had also earned $75 in gift cards from a rewards site so this meal was pretty cheap for us which was great on our OOP budget vaca
I love the pterodactyl salad there, my son always gets the fish and chips and loves them, and I cannot remember what everyone else got. Consistently good and filling and can even be a bargain
Now for the negative review. We returned to Earl of Sandwich despite my husband's dislike of it last time. I had some coupons and they had a special where if we bought a $25 gift card we would get a free sandwich, so for our budget trip I told him to suck it up
The sandwiches were not very good - ESPECIALLY the kids grilled cheese. Seriously it had almost no cheese on it and the kids wouldn't even eat it. Seating in there is an absolute mad house, and the service was horrendous. The woman taking our order was snotty, the woman who gave us our food was rude as well. They forgot part of our order which meant more standing there and waiting. We did manage to get a table thanks to two kind women, so yay for some nice people in a grumpy mess. Luckily for all you Earl's fans there will be one less family jockeying for a table because we just do not get it, DEFINITELY not on the DDP and not even OOP.
