I bought that Early-Bird feature. Can I check in BEFORE 24 hours, or must I wait for the 24 hour window like everyone else??

The Early Bird feature means that you automatically get checked in at 36 hours. You don't have to do anything.

So even with early bird you have to wait to the 24 hour mark before you can go online and print your boarding passes?

People who come to the Disboards with questions about WDW--do we tell them go to the Official Disney site and take a look??

Or do we helpfully answer their questions?

Wdw doesn't have a comprehensive and informational website like sw does. Finding out that sw has terrific info (like their "boarding school" tutorial) is good for people. If they are up late at night when the dis is down for its nightly nap (1:05am pacific time) and can't ask here, maybe they will remember that sw probably has the info on there!

Yes. All of this information is on Southwest's website; why not take a look?

Thanks for the confirmation. I've flown SW before a few times, but have never used early bird. We normally fly jetblue, but have been venturing out since jetblue's nonstop flights to mco left dulles.

Sometimes, yes!

I don't understand your post. How is it unhelpful to advise someone to check the source? Southwest has a very clear explanation of how EBCI works; why wouldn't you read this before paying for this service (no criticism intended towards OP; I understand lots of people don't travel by air that often). Then come here and ask questions if you still do not understand.

Give a man a fish.......

like most people you don't seem to even understand what you paid for.

southwest will automatically check you in 36 hours prior to your flight.

you don't need to do anything.

i would suggest printing your boarding pass from home though so you don't have to do so at the airport. this can be done within 24 hours of your flight.

Just want to add that once you are within 24 hours of departure and want to print your boarding pass or just see what boarding assignment you got, go to Southwest's site and click on "Check In". Once that page loads, enter your name and confirmation number and click the "Check in" button. It seems counter intuitive since as an EBCI purchaser you were already checked in automatically 36 hours out but that's what you need to do to view your boarding pass information. It will bring up your boarding pass with your boarding assignment on it and give you the option to print it.
