I have debated on buying a stroller for our 6 year old just for our Disney trip. The only advantage would be that it would probably be cheaper than renting everyday. I have heard that there is some way to get a multi day stroller rental for less than renting everyday. Can anyone help me with this?

Ive read in my unofficial Guide that you can hang on to your reciept and use it again the same day if you going to another park but I think its just for that day. (think)

I wouldn't buy one for a 6 year old since you would have to buy a higher end stroller if you wanted it to support your child's weight safely. Most cheaper strollers only hold 35 - 40 lbs and even if you wanted to chance the safety issue, it probably wouldn't be very comfy.

The rentals are great for older kids. When we were there over the summer, they were offering a stroller prepaid discount. We knew that we would need the stroller for 5 days so we prepaid and they gave us a ticket for each day. I can't remember the exact discount, it wasn't much, maybe $2 per day cheaper for the double? But, it was convenient not having to wait in the stroller line to pay each day.

I'm not sure if they are still doing the multi-day prepaid stroller discount or not. I did hear rumors that it was going to be discontinued but not sure if that is true.

How much does DD weigh? They actually have Maclaren Volo strollers on sale at BABYSTYLE.com for $69.99. They support up to 55 pounds, and last forever.

Was just there 2/3-2/7/06. I got a length of stay stroller for $8/day. You just keep the receipt and pass they give you and reuse it everyday. Worked great!! We really love the strollers at MGM.

We were just there too and got the length of stay stroller rental and it was for my 7 year old. Last year we tried taking our old umbrella stroller and it was a pain because she really was too big for it so it was hard to push and uncomfortable for her.

I highly recommend the rentals because they are much sturdier. She didn't use it as much this time, thankfully she has gotten better at walking for distances, but we found it handy just to hold all the bags and drinks, etc.

I had gotten a five day pass for it and we only used it in the parks for three of the days so on our last day I went in to the stroller rental at MK and asked if there was any way I could get a refund for the unused days. They said no problem and gave me $16 back, so that was really nice.
