Quick Service on a "10" crowd day

We've never intentionally travels at such busy time, but due to circumstances we will be visiting over President's Day weekend. I'm looking for best option for meals at the parks during this busy time...

I think you either do a QS as early as possible, or get an ADR for TS.

Quick Service is not all that bad on super busy days because Disney manages the lines and the seating. At many CS locations they will create a single line and a CM will direct you to one of the cashiers. It keeps things moving. Also, some CS restaurants will only allow you to be seated once you have your food (no table saving) so there is a table for you when you need it and you don't have to wander around looking for a place to eat.

I voted TS. While Disney does a great job of managing QS locations during busy times, having reservations at a TS is a much more peaceful experience. It's nice to have a break from feeling like you're part of a cattle herd.

Agreed...we always go at busy times due to kid's school schedules and it's nice to sit at a TS and enjoy a meal for a while away from the chaos!

On a crowded day = TS at least once. Relaxing, guaranteed table, waited on, drink refills, hopefully better/fresher food and time to recharge.

And .... for me TiW or AP Discount which with the high cost of QS helps bring they prices closer.

In MK, at the very least, I would book TS. The QS lines can get super long there. For AK, if you have time, I would get a Landry's Select Card (it's $25, but that $25 goes toward your bill and you get a $25 bonus if it's your birthday month - which can be any month you choose!) and get priority seating at Yak & Yeti and/or Rainforest Cafe (where the prices aren't bad). With the Landry's Select Card, you can show up whenever you want and get priority seating over people with ADR's. We just did this on Dec. 19 and had about a minute wait for our table. In EP, if you aren't picky, you can probably snag a TS while you are there if the QS lines are long. We ate at Kringla, Les Halles and Sunshine Seasons in EP right before Christmas and the WS QS were definitely more manageable than Sunshine Seasons. In DHS, QS should be fine. We did Backlot right before Christmas and the line was pretty fast. It's MK that I would be really worried about. We tried to do QS there right after Christmas two years ago and it was so nuts we left the park and went to the Wave for lunch!

Well that's pretty much convinced me because it's my MK day that I'm most concerned about!

If not a booked TS at MK, at least book BOG for lunch (QS, but requires ADR and has some load balancing).

A TS ADR you may still wait, but it's more predictable than a QS wait, with more of a guarantee of an eventual table.

YES. We do eat there often for lunch and I forget it's not TS because I include it in ADR mode. We often get the meat & potatoes to treat as dinner then we are good much longer and can eat QS dinner at off hour.

I would stick with counter service and go to CHH as soon as it opens. There is plenty of seating upstairs and it's quite peaceful.

I voted TS. In the MK the CS can get very crowded, and if you like to eat at a specific time, you may be searching for a spot. If you do not book TS, I agree that booking BOG for lunch is a good idea.

You can use both! They will be automatically applied to your account... just tell your server you want to use the rewards. You will need either your card, or your phone number & ID.

If you are able to get a BOG ADR, I would just recommend pre-ordering your food. We ate at BOG for lunch on Dec. 18 and the line to order was LONG.

I didn't vote for either because they both have their good points. We were there Dec. 19th thru 23rd and while I don't do crowd calendars it did seem pretty crowded to me. We did QS at HS (Backlot Express) around 2 or so and there were not many people there. We booked ADRs the day of for Flying Fish, HBD and Tiffins with no problems. HBD was a late lunch, Flying Fish and Tiffins were night. We walked up to the Plaza at MK around 1 or 2 and had about a 20 min. wait.
