Quick Service - esp questions about variety

We're debating staying on-site and taking advantage of the Quick Service meal plan or staying off-site and buying food as we go. Can you tell me about the variety of foods available for kids? I've read some complaints about the lack of variety for kids, which concerns me a bit.

Anyone care to give examples of the foods available for kids and adults?

Also, if you've used the QS plan before, how did you feel about the amount of food? How much extra were you spending each day for food that wasn't covered in the QS plan?

For adults it's a totally fine amount of food and decent variety if you choose carefully. The kids plan was a problem for us. Mac and cheese is on tons of menus. You can find some decent options here and there like wolfgang puck express, earl of sadnwich, sunshine seasons but there are also lots of places we had to totally avoid. Ultimately we ended up using lots of the kids credits for breakfasts because those were decent though we planned for breakfast in the room. Then we would buy our kids an adult meal oop a few places so that they could have something decent. Check out menus on alllears for specific menu options. The kids portion of main course was frequently too small for our kids as they got older. The chicken serving is 1 drumstick or 4 nuggets. The mac and cheese seems like half a cup. The kids mini pizza was about half the size of a school lunch pizza slice. They do also get to pick 2 sides like grapes, apple slices, carrots, fries, or cookie.

Thank you! I hadn't read about the kid's menu portion sizes. My son could have issues with the sizes - thin as a rail, but eats like a horse.

I was going to get the dining plan until I saw most of the menus. My son is a very picky eater. He does not like mac & cheese nor does he like chicken nuggets. He does like pizza however a small slice is not going to cut it .
