Disclaimer: I am not privy to all the acronyms and other disboard lingo. Bear with me.

I was told on an online chat (you know how they have that on the Disney World website - you can chat with a representative) that, with the Stay, Play, Dine, and Save package I could choose the quick service dining plan with a moderate resort. I couldn't book it that way online, so I called.

The representative I talked to said that I couldn't.

Hmm. Who is right?

I went ahead and booked the Carribean Beach Resort with the regular Dining Plan, but if I call and talk to someone else what are the chances that I could change it to quick service?

Our four year old has Autism, and sitting town at a table service meal is rarely a pleasant experience. I don't want to pay for the plan with table service meals if we're only going to do quick service meals.

Any thoughts?

To my knowledge, there has never been a way to downgrade to QSDP when being offered the regular DDP as part of a moderate package. You would need to stay at a value to do the QSDP if you want to do the s/p/d offer. You can now use a TS credit for a CS meal, so if you must stay in a moderate then you can still act as though it is the QSDP, but not sure if it makes sense financially.

like pp said- you can use ts for cs if you wish- or simply not use all your credits. :)

i''m in the uk so it could well be different, but after having the ddp the first time, i realised this was not the right fit for our family either-
so the following year, i requested changing our dining plan to qsdp-however there was a cost of over £1000 to downgrade!? :confused3

we therefore stuck with what we had and did not utilise our ts credits.:)

You can always book the Winter Room only offer at CBR and then add the tickets and Quick Service dining ala carte.

I'm not sure exactly what discount I used. I asked for the Disney Visa discount. I am booked at Coronado Springs in February with QSDP. When I priced changing to DDP online, it looks like it's about $500 more than I'm currently paying (3 adults for 9 nights). I plan to call though to see what the difference is to switch. We may drop dining altogether.
