Quick Service Crowd Level

Hello everyone! I'm planning our 1st trip to Animal Kingdom. We've been to MK a million times but I'm clueless about Animal Kingdom. Here's my question... are the quick service restaurants crowded at dinner time at Animal Kingdom. Whenever we do MK, we do table service because the crowds are too hard to navigate with our 1 year old.
We are planning on going on a pretty average crowd level day. Just curious if I need to try to find a table reservation for dinner.

When are you going? Many people right now don't even eat a counter service dinner at AK because AK closes early. Once the ROL show opens and AK stays open later, I imagine the counter service will stay open later as well. It's hard to say what the crowds will be like.

Thank you for responding! We're going mid-April before the new show starts. I didn't really think about the park closing early (so glad that I checked with the experts on disboards).

we usually eat a lunch at AK and then when we are done there ..we go back to our resort ..rest up or go swimming and then either eat at our resort or go to another park or Disney Springs...(aka down town disney)

I think as of right now, the AK counter services close anytime between 4:30pm - 7pm.

We just were there last weekend at the start of Spring Break. It was a packed house. Still, people were streaming for the exits starting at around 3:00. At 4:00 Harambe and the Dawa bar area seemed pretty quiet. We walked up to Tamu Tamu and Dawa Bar with no issues. There was a very short wait for Tusker House. With all the people leaving, I can't imagine anything being tough to get.

There were CMs begging people to sit down for a late afternoon meal at Y&Y TS. I think you could do a walk-up pretty easily.

I have always found dinner time to be very quiet and beautiful at AK

By dinner time, at least until ROL and the extended hours start, AK is practically a ghost town.
