I see plenty about the "top tier" monorail resort restaurants: Cali Grill, Chef Mickey's, Narcoossee's, Citrico's, 'Ohana...well, and V&A, but I don't consider that an actual option, LOL.

I want to hear about these places:
The Wave
Contempo Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe
Gasparilla Grill
Kona Cafe
Captain Cook's

The menus look good, and the prices aren't TOO astronomical. All meal experiences welcome, B, L, or D!

Contempo Cafe is good if you're staying there - but I wouldn't venture to the CR specifically for it.

Grand Floridian Cafe, on the other hand, is a favorite. One of my travelmates has family in the area and that (along with Captain's Grille) is one of our go-to spots to meet them for a meal where they don't need tickets & we don't need to leave the bubble.

ETA: I think we did CC for l/d. GFC is usually a "main meal" lunch. Captain's Grille - not on the monorail but since I mentioned it above - has AMAZING breakfast (no idea why it's not a Dis favorite) and we enjoy dinner too.

Love Kona for breakfast...one of my favorites.
The Wave was nice and relatively quiet when we had dinner there. It was actually better than I expected. Booked it for my Nov trip.
Grand Floridian Cafe is terrific. Love it there, especially for breakfast!
These places are fairly easy to get ADRs for. And they make a nice break from the hectic, busy park!!

We're hopefully staying at BLT, so I'm thinking Contempo Cafe will get hit up at least once.
Good to hear about GF Cafe. We want to visit the GF one evening to enjoy the orchestra and lobby, and I think having dinner at the GF Cafe will work out well.

Good to hear about The Wave. The dinner menu looks very appealing to me, and they also have a breakfast buffet (I think).
Not sure if we'll visit the Poly, but the Tonga Toast at Kona for breakfast kind of calls to me, LOL.
Glad that these places are fairly easy to get ressies for. I don't like making ADRs really far in advance.

Our BLT trip (8d) I think we ate at CC 3x. Mostly flatbreads and "basic" stuff - but on a trip where we basically flip nights & days (Christmas week, ha ha!) it hit the spot.

I can only comment of a few of them:
The Wave is very good for breakfast and dinner. We enjoy it frequently.
Kona Cafe - same comments as for the Wave
Captain Cooks - good CS restaurant in a relaxing atmosphere.

We love Kona Café - especially for breakfast. We eat there almost every trip. We enjoyed Contempo Café - ate their a few times on our last trip. We also really enjoyed The Grand Floridian Café. As another person said we really love Captains Grille at the YC. So good. We also love Whispering Canyon Café - so good.
