This is my first dining report, so go easy on me. :goodvibes MH wouldn't let me take any pictures of the food because he thought others would think I was crazy. He's not too aware of my dis addiction just yet so next trip I'll have a better report (and hopefully he'll let me upgrade to the DxDP instead of the DDP).

Whispering Canyon Cafe (Dinner): We had a 6:30 reservation and waited about 20 minutes past our ADR time due to the fact that I had requested the main dining room which was well worth the wait. We were included in the antics and got to see all the things going on.
We both had the skillet. I had a vanilla milkshake, he had an ice tea (and thanks to the dis I packed my own sweet n low). The cornbread was delicious. The skillet was quite good too. The best being the ribs and chicken. It was so good we ordered seconds. And just as I'm mentioning to MH about the reports on the dis and how greasy people find the skillet and how ours was anything but, they deliver the second round. It was so greasy we couldn't eat any of it.
Overall we enjoyed the meal and would go back.

Sci-Fi (Lunch): We had a 12:50 ADR time and waited about 10 minutes past it. I've been here many many times however MH wanted to experience the atmosphere. It's really a cute place to dine. And since I've last been there I think they've updated the movies (not completely just bits and pieces but don't hold me to it. It could have just been my foggy memory). We both had milkshakes and burgers. I know that's all it's good for. The milkshakes were worth the trip but how special can a burger be?

Teppan Edo (Lunch): We had a 12:00 ADR time and waited about 10 minutes past it. MH was really excited for this one as we don't have any hibachi restaurants where we live. We both had diet cokes. I had the steak and shrimp and he had the steak and chicken. The noodles were very bland and I had more onion than noodles. Both our meals were cooked correctly and the chef put on a nice show. Their dessert selection needs to be worked on though. MH got the ginger chocolate cake which had a very strong after taste to it and I just had soft served vanilla ice cream.
This one is hard to rate. It wasn't bad at all, but I wouldn't call it great where we had to come back next trip. It was just ehh.

Ohana (Dinner): I tried so hard to get a reservation time so we could watch wishes at 9 but it just wasn't happening. We had a 9:30 ADR. Well, that night there were some major storms going on. So just in case we left a lot of travel time to get to the poly. Well, the planets must have been in line because we got there an hour early. When we checked in they told us they were running half an hour behind. That was fine with us especially since we were so early we were expecting a long wait. We got our buzzer and sat down at the bar. Just as we were going to order drinks the buzzer went off and we were lead to a window seat. Because of the storms I couldn't see a thing and wasn't sure were we were in relation to the castle but I was just ecstatic that we were seated an hour early.
The bread and salad were amazing. The dumplings were just ok. I enjoyed the noodles but MH didn't want to fill up. As our wings came out the music for wishes started and I'm searching all over to see the castle when all of a sudden right in front of me fireworks start shooting off. We had front row seats.:yay: It was incredible. After getting seated early and these great seats I should have bought a lottery ticket that night.
The wings were great and very tender. Then they started bringing all the meat out and MH was in heaven. The only problem we had was with the steak. It was extremely overcooked. MH mentioned something and they immediately brought more out cooked to his liking. Then that amazing dessert was brought out. It's everything and more from what I've heard on here. They asked us if we wanted another bread pudding but we couldn't fit anymore in.
Without a doubt we'll be back. In fact MH refuses to go to Disney unless we have an Ohana ADR.

Raglan Road: We had a 7:30 ADR time and were seated 20 minutes past it. We both had iced teas and the fish and chips. The last time I was in Disney I had great fish and chips from Rose and Crown and had high hopes for this meal. However it just wasn't happening. It was just extremely bland and greasy. We both had the Bread and Butter Pudding for dessert and that more than made up for the meal but I don't think we'll be back.

Le Cellier: We checked in at the usual 15-20 minutes before our ADR time and got a snotty response to check back 5 minutes before. MH wasn't feeling well and argued with the lady that we'd just be sitting here anyway and to just check us in. She made this big deal that they were running 30 minutes behind because disney was in there shooting some footage for their archives. Well 5 minutes later (and 10 minutes before our ADR time) our buzzer went off.
We had never been there before and I especially was excited after hearing all the hype about it.
We both splurged a little and ordered apps. I got the cheddar cheese soup and MH got a caesar salad. I wasn't a fan of the soup at all which really surprised me with how much I love all things cheese. It actually made me sick to my stomach. MH's salad was just a salad.
I got the mushroom filet with mashed instead of the risotto. I asked for medium and I got it medium well. It was tough and chewy and I was too tired to send it back or say anything so I just ate it.
MH got the NY strip medium rare. This steak was so rare that the middle was ice cold. I should also mention that he used to work as a chef in a steak house. He never EVER sends anything back because he knows usually the steak is thrown in the microwave and then it just gets ugly. Well, he sent it back. My jaw hit the floor. In the 10 years that I've known him this was a first. Luckily they did not microwave the steak but they didn't do a good job of reheating it.
By this point neither of us aren't feeling well so he suffered through the moo-ing steak and we got our desserts to go.
After the experience I'd have to agree that Le Cellier is not worth the trouble. I've gotten better steaks at Outback and Longhorn. Plus this was not a relaxing meal. Everything came out so quickly it was odd.
We will not be returning.

And one more I feel like I should mention. We spent the morning at DHS and I knew we had to leave before lunch because there's just nothing good there. However we ended up staying longer than anticipated and MH convinced me to give a shot. Never go against your gut instincts. We ended up at the Studio Catering Company back by the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground. I got the caesar salad wrap and MH had the pulled pork sandwich.
Just the thought of this meal gives me nightmares. The chicken in my wrap was this fake, white, slimy, rubbery thing and the pulled pork.....well, you can imagine with fast food pulled pork is like. :confused3
Stay far far far away from this place.

It really was such a great help reading these before our trip and I hope that I could return the favor and help someone else with mine!

Thanks for the reviews.:)

My son wanted to eat at Teppan Edo so we will be there for Thanksgiving without high expectations. How were the portions of meat/shrimp? I saw one where it seemed if you just ordered the steak you got more than if you picked 2.

That's great about 'Ohana and too bad about LeCellier. We are looking forward to doing both again. As for DHS I've heard that Starring Rolls has some awesome sandwiches and desserts which we will definitely be trying. That might be something to keep in mind next time.

Thanks for the detailed reviews. It's funny...your "second" serving of the skillet was what we got the first round (we never ordered a second round) and that's why we won't go back; we are going to Sci Fi in 17 days for the first time in about 8 - 10 years...so I don't even remember what the film clips were. :rotfl2: I'm sorry you had such a bad meal at LeCellier. We've been five times now and it has always been the best meal of each trip.

Thank you again for sharing.

thanks for the review. I'm still trying to decide our ADR for Dec trip and 2 new restaurants I wanted to try are Ohana and LeCellier (LeCellier I have been reading mix reviews lately and not sure of the food quality of food)...My husband tells me that I just want to go b/c of the hype and he tells me there are so many other good restaurant in Epcot. Thanks for sharing your experience.
