Just got back on Friday from an 8 day trip for family of six staying at CSR. If you are on the fence about choosing this resort, don't be. It's absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, quiet, and large. I have stayed at 2 of the values on previous trips and I can honestly say that I'm glad I bumped up to a moderate. It's much quieter and the theming is fantastic. The bus service was exceptional even though I didn't see the internal shuttle all week.

Check in was quick - we got to resort at 11:30 and room was ready yet. We were able to get into Cabanas section 9A, close to quiet pool.

We absolutely loved the Pepper Market, the Maya Grill, and all of the amenities that CSR offers. I got a massage on Mother's Day. Kids loved the pool area with arcade and playground. The adults in our party appreciated having several outdoor bar options.

Weather was fantastic - sunny and 90s all week. Crowds were minimal, wait times on all of the fast pass attractions were commonly 30 minutes. Love bugs were not bad. I saw more at the resort pool and Blizzard Beach than in the parks.

Check out was easy - they arranged for luggage transport early on the day we left so we had until 3pm to get in one more park day!

All in all, a wonderful trip to a beautiful resort that we'll visit again.

One other note that I hadn't seen on the disboards regarding dining - when we had dinner at Coral Reef the evening of 5/15, Mickey was in scuba gear in the tank. It was the coolest thing!

If you ever have the opportunity to go to WDW for your birthday, it's a blast. My husband and I were both celebrating our 40th birthdays last week. They have a way of making you feel so special.

Welcome back. We are so glad you loved CSR. It is our favorite resort and we can't wait to be there for our anniversary in September! Happy birthday to you and your hubby! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh now Im so excited! We just booked this resort for my 30th bday trip! Its just DH and I, our DS is staying home. Sad about that, but happy it sounds so great there!

Welcome back, glad to hear your trip was so nice and made your 40th b-days a lasting memory. We will be there in August and after all the reviews I am second guessing myself on a split stay between CSR and OKW. I hope we have enough time to enjoy all the great things at CSR.

Great CSR review! DO you happen to have a picture of Mickey in the tank at Coral Reef? I would love to see that :goodvibes and we have a ressie there in October.

Thanks for the review. We just upgraded to CSR from POP(hesitantly so) and I am hoping it was the right decision.

I bet you will feel that it is worth it. We have stayed at CSR 3 times and have always enjoyed it. The theming is nice, the main pool is great for kids and the quiet pools are a nice change for when you are tired and want to avoid crowds. The Pepper Market has lots of selection and is reasonably priced.

In fact, except for the fact that we tried the Poly last year and are now hooked on it, we would probably still be staying at CSR.

Thanks for the great review. We are going to be there starting Saturday. This will be my second time and DH and DD's first so I am glad it is to others what I remember from my last stay there.

I stayed at CSR May 1 to 4 and POP May 4 to 7. I would have given anything to stay all 6 nights at CSR, especially after 3 nights at POP where the CMs could have cared less if I was there or not. Maybe the ones at CSR didn't care either, but you'd never know it. At CSR I was comfortable and all the available services and places to eat, far surpass that one ugly sterile-looking counter-service restaurant (can you even call it that?), with junk food stacked to the ceiling. POP is a very basic, colorful motel. It was clean and minimally comfortable, but not enjoyable for me. I won't stay at a value again because it doesn't fit for me. I tried it once.
I would and will go back to CSR anytime. The visual and real beauty of the resort and surroundings make my spirit sing. 'Nuf said.
This isn't meant to disrespect anyone else's appreciation for POP. Just my opinion.

My DH and I stayed at CSR last October, it was our first trip to DW, but not our last !! We celebrated DH birthday then, and we are going to celebrate mine, and our anniversary in February, but this time we are staying at CBR. I hope that we enjoy CBR as much as we loved CSR. :woohoo: :cheer2:
