This was our first time attending the Halloween party and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

We arrived at 6pm for the party and were let right in. Free stroller rentals. The cast members gave us a wristband and trick-or-treat bag and directed us down the left side of Main street and then left toward Adventureland. Right side of Main Street was for the people exiting the park.

Parades were at 8 & 10pm, fireworks at 9:15.

Overall we were very impressed and thought the party was a good value. There were a ton of cast members handing out candy. Characters for pictures and autographs were all over. 5-6 villains were in front of the castle for autgraphs/photos after the fireworks.

We never waited more than 7 minutes for any ride we wanted to go on. Most we walked on. The park was like this all week however so can't be sure if it was due to the attendance allowance for the party or the time of year.

The parade was neat but not all that unlike the regular parade. A couple of additons that were fun.

The firworks were awesome. Great music, great narration, great display. About 15 minutes long and the best we've seen there. Again, our first time at the Halloween Party so we can't compare it to previous versions.

Any questions?

Hi, I've been looking for a report since yesterday! so glad I found yours!

Did you get to see the Headless Horseman for the parade? How about the storytelling at Liberty Square for the opening of the party? Did they have the masks crafts? Did you see both parades? if so, were they the same? What kind of candy did they give? oh! we have tickets for 10/27.... and can't wait to go!!!! Are the treat bags plastic? nice? do you have pictures? as you can tell... I'm very impatient to go!

Glad you had a good time! We are going to our first party Oct. 28. :cool1:
What kinds of candy do they give out? Please discribe the treat bag they supply. Did you purchase a pin? If so, what does it look like and how much did it cost? MNSSHP shirt? Did you have your picture made? Was there a long wait? Sorry for all the questions but we are sooo excited. Thanks

Hope you have a great time when you go!

We did see the headless horseman. Came through 10 minutes before the start of the parade. Very cool but he was moving quickly, dressed in black, and it was dark. Did not photograph or videotape well. The second time we just watched. We saw both parades and they were the same.

The bags they handed out for the candy were plastic, but nice with themed printing on them. I know they were selling other themed merchandise but I don't know what. We didn't look.

They passed out great candy! All name brand, good stuff. Nestle, Hersheys, Samrties, Tootsie Pops. The first Trick or Treat stop we made gave each of my kids like 20 pieces. They handed out more along the parade, and then on the way out (11-ish), they directed us to these huge barrells full of candy and filled up the treat bags.

I don't know about the mask crafts. Sorry! There were several spots for story telling and one "disco" set up by the carousel for the kids to dance. I'm not sure if that's what you are talking about but I hope it helps.

Forgot to add, we did take our own pictures but I'm not confident they came out well. I haven't had the chance to check yet. We did watch the video of the parade this morning and it turned out just okay.

They had several, seemed like a bunch, of places to take pictures but the lines were long and with no waiting for the rides, we didn't wait for the pics.

The bags they handed out are orange with black handles and probably hold about a gallon of stuff. On one side is "Goofy Candy Co." and on the other side is the MNSSHP logo.

We didn't look to see what the MNSSHP shirts cost but they do have them. I didn't see pins but didn't look for them.

What did you do with the bags of candy when you went on the rides? I am thinking of getting a stroller if they are free. I will be there with my brothers kids -the youngest is 6 so I thought we could get one for storage and then use it for him if he gets tired. Do you think it will be difficult to get it through the crowds?

Hi Ann.

We did just as you mentioned. Had a double stroller, left the candy on the stroller while we went on the rides. Even though the strollers were free, we all still had nametags so we knew which was ours. We had not trouble navigating the crowds with the strollers. There were a lot of strollers out there.

pirate: Thanks for the report. It sounds like alot of fun. We went last year and had a blast. We're looking forward to it again on October 11th. DW, DS4, and myself are all dressing up like pirates. It should be alot of fun. And thanks for answering my question about the free strollers before I asked....lol. They did that last year too. :goodvibes
