Quick rental car service at MCO -- Alamo and Avis

Thought you experts could help me out....

My mom has a rental through Alamo at MCO in a couple days. I want to suggest she use the kiosk if the line at the counter is long. Does she have to pre-register any of her info (driver's license number etc) or can she just go to the kiosk with her confirmation number and enter all that info in at that time? I handled her car reservation and I don't want to give her any misinformation.

Also, I have my own reservation (another day) at MCO through Avis. I signed up for the preferred program before I made my reservation, so they have my driver's license number etc. already. Does this mean I can bypass the counter and go directly out to the garage to get my car? How do I find out what car I have been assigned? The email said there is a "board" with the car that I am assigned, but it doesn't say if that is out in the garage or near the rental counter.

I just like to be prepared. Thanks!

She can try to check in online or use the kiosk (much faster than the line just about any day). She will enter all the info at the kiosk after she enters her confirmation number. Very quick. At the end of that, she will go to the garage, select her vehicle from the appropriate area and go to the exit, where she will be asked for her kiosk slip, credit card and license and after that, she will be good to go.
As to Avis, if memory serves, the board is in the garage. You will be asked for your license and rental agreement. Just to be sure about Avis, I would give them a call.

I use Avis at MCO very frequently - most recently just two weeks ago. With Avis Preferred you simply go directly to the garage. There is a signboard there which will have your name on it and what space your car is in.
