Quick questions re: pathway and gift cards

I have 2 quick question-

1. Is there a path between Jurassic park and Harry potter? It looks like it on the map but I don't remember it the one time we went.

2. Does anyone know if you can get the 5% off gift card deal at target like you can with Disney? And can you pay for things like hotel or dining with gift cards or just use them at the stores?

To the best of my knowledge the answers are yes and no. Yes, definitely, to the first question and I've never heard of anyone experiencing the second question.

Mhm. You hear about people doing that all the time with WDW gift cards but I've never heard anyone talk about it here. Not sure if they are available at Target.

Target does not carry Universal gift cards, at least they don't at the locations near me. If they did, you would be able to get 5% off with your Target Red Card.

Just got back from Target- you guys were right, they didn't carry Universal gift cards. I thought I had seen them there but it must have been somewhere else. Thank you!

They did have a few Universal cards at my Target and yes, I got the 5% off. They aren't listed on the Target website though so I'm thinking they stopped carrying them and this was just old stock. (I went ahead and bought the 2 $100 and the lone $50 that was on the rack)

The only universal gift cards I have seen are for one day tickets. Are there other kinds as well?
