This is our first trip to Disney. We'll be arriving the week following Thanksgiving. We use our debit card for pretty much everything we buy including food. My question...do the restaurants and snack shacks throughout the parks accept my Visa debit card? Or do I really need to carry cash?

I don't know about the snack shacks, but last year I used my debit card for all the resturants without a problem. I will be using it again this year too!! :cheer2:

Always a good idea to have a moderate amount of cash with you. I know places like Aloha Isle (for Dole whips in the MK) only takes cash .. (at least here in california's disneyland... learned that the hard way!!).

The one here takes credit/debit.

The only places that we've been that haven't taken credit/debit are a few of the smaller booths at Epcot. For example, the wine booth in France with the larger selection, the snack/drink booth in Morocco outside...and that's about all I can remember. We don't bring cash 99% of the time.

If I recall correctly, all of the permanant places take credit/debit cards, but the portable snack carts didn't. Obviously the parade vendors did not either.

I would carry a small amount of cash to cover the possiblity of drinks/snacks from the carts, as the lines tend to be shorter, and it makes it easier to get a drink or snack while waiting for a parade.

If you are staying at a Disney hotel you can give them your debit card to cover room charges and then just have your expenses charged to the room with your card--this is what we did last week and it worked well and was a good expense report because we could see everything we spent all together instead of trying to keep track of lots of little receipts everywhere!!

We went in December and paid cash for snacks and stuff. But, my question is if I were to use a room card does it really show everything I bought or just the amount and the store?
