When the Tag Fairy is feeling particularly benevolent and/or amused, she/he colors your tag and/or the stuff under you avatar.

No joke.

It's a practice that's been going on for a while as I understand it. Though I think it started happening less often a few years ago, or maybe people just stopped bringing it up.
