Quick question: Can you direct deposit into ING accounts?

I'm looking at a place to increase my savings and wanted to know if I can have money from my work direct deposit put into ING. I know my HSBC savings online account won't allow me to.

I'm not sure if you can DD into the savings acct but you can into the orange checking. So you could DD into the orange checking then immediately transfer into the savings acct.

I have some ING savings accounts and I can't find information anywhere on their site about Direct Deposits - not sure if they don't allow it or if I'm just not seeing it.

I have money transferred from my linked checking account to my ING savings accounts every payday as part of their "Automatic Savings Plan".

Can I do direct deposit?
Yes! Once you open an Orange Savings Account, you can access a simple form after logging in and clicking on the Orange Savings Account that you want to set up with Direct Deposit. Just look for the "Direct Deposit Form for this Account" link. You can then either print out the form and give it to your company’s payroll department or take the bank routing and account number information to fill in your company's form. You can also choose how much to direct deposit from your paycheck - all or only a portion – it's up to you.

And now I do see the "Direct Deposit Form for this Account" when I look at my savings accounts so, yes, I just wasn't seeing it before. Duh!

How long does it take for that to process? My HSBC takes about 5 days to transfer from my linked checking into my savings account. I'm looking for something that is faster or at least does direct deposit.

Direct deposit hits the same at ING as it does your regular banking accounts. However it does take 3 days or so to transfer it back into checking at another bank. I have ING Orange in case times like that should ever occur when I need it quicker since I have a Debit Mastercard linked to that account.

Awesome! Thanks everyone for your help! I think I'll use ING for my vacation fund since I don't want to dip from my emergency savings in HSBC.

Part2 question: Is there any deals going on for new accounts?

I have DD (16) payroll check DD in to an ING Orange Savings account. I transfer $$ in to our checking account as needed, usually handing her the cash out of my hand first. Her deposit is always credited first thing in the morning on payday.
